John Abner was the brother of Martha Ellen Stayton Ford.

I am descended from Stephen Ford, born in Tennessee around 1790. His son Issac Ford married Hannah Lard and they migrated to Kentucky in Adair Co. His son Thomas Franklin Ford married Martha Ellen Stayton. They had 15 children one of whom is Dewey Ford. He married Mary Ann Mann and had two children, Nellie Geneva and Nanny Virginia. Nanny Virginia is my mother.

My family has a long history in Adair county and the surrounding counties of Taylor and Casey. At one time Dewey Ford lived where the three counties connected and could move in his yard between the three counties.

Thank you,
Jenny Baker
