John Morrison & George Huston Lawsuit

My reasoning:

1.  We know the Adair County John Morrison had a daughter Mary who married Henry Link in Lincoln County before Adair's formation in 1790.  So, Adair County John was in Lincoln County in 1790.  John signed the marriage return himself.  There is one other John Morrison of the time period who married a Sally Layton in 1789, which is why I can't be certain which John Morrison is the one in the lawsuit. However, Adair Co. John would have been older and more likely to have owned land than this other John.

2.  Two witnesses for John Morrison of the Morrison v. Huston lawsuit were William Rennick and Robert Rennick of Virginia.

3.  Our Adair County John Morrison bought a land warrant from a Henry Rennick.

Research is preliminary yet, but I think William and Robert might have been brothers of Henry.

I feel like this is a really good lead for the origins of John Morrison of Adair County, and I would love to hear what other Morrison researchers think
