Adair County Marriages Performed by Rev. Henry Winfrey

This list from the late Eva Coe Peden showing
marriages performed by Rev. Henry Winfrey who was an early Baptist
minister. These of course are not all the marriages - just those done by Rev.
Winfrey. Names shown as transcribed by Eva; her source unknown. She sometimes
pulled information from other quarterlies of the time. All of these marriages
occurred in Adair Co.
The original list
came from the publication “Kentucky Ancestors, Vol. 5, No. 4, April 1970, page
172,
et.al, published by the Kentucky Historical Society. The list was compiled
by James C. Winfrey of Kansas City MO. He took it from the original Adair
County, Clerk of the County Court manuscript of all marriages, which has been
microfilmed (FHL 0830575). Both transcriptions from the original contains an
error in transcribing *Nicholas Pasles (Parsley or
Pasley) to Parker on page 20.
