Marriage Bond from the Adair Co. courthouse Columbia, Kentucky

Know all men by these present that we Durham
Creel, John Creel --------are held and firmly
bound unto Christopher Greenup Esq. governor of
Kentucky and his successors the penal sum of
$50. for the payment of which were and truly to be
made we bind our Selves our heirs Executors and Admins.
Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents
Sealed with our seals and dated this 22 day of July 1806
The condition is such that if there should be no legal
Cause to obstruct a marriage shortly intended to
be solemnized between the Said Durham Creel Son
of Charles Creel whose consent was this day certified &
proven before you and Polly Smith Daughter of
James Smith whose consent was this day certified & proven -----
Then this obligation to be ? ? ? in full force and Virtue.
