John Henry Hackney, brother of Audrey (Hackney) Allensworth, buried in Troy, MO
Henry Harrison Lee was born in 1837, brother of Sarah Tennessee Lee Mayberry, and son of Lewis S. Lee and Nancy Watson. Henry farmed in Ballard most of his life, and died there on 23 Dec 1912. He is buried in Cane Creek Cem.

Anna Pairelee Mayberry born 2 April 1863 Ballard Co. Kentucky married Francis Marion McNeill she was the daughter of William Mayberry and Sarah Tennessee Lee.
George Mayberry son of William Mayberry and Sarah Tennessee Lee, married Martha J. Dennis and, 2nd wife, Ella Davenport.
Bud Mayberry (unknown, possibly John William Mayberry),  Sarah Claresta Mayberry (married William Frank Arington) and George Mayberry.
Jesse H.Mayberry is the son of John William Mayberry and Josie A White, John William Mayberry father was William Mayberry and Sarah Tennessee Lee.

Mary Robena (Mayberry) Tippy was a daughter of William and Sarah Tennessee (Lee) Mayberry, and twin sister to Martha Robena (Mayberry) Carter, who married William Carter.

Sarah Timmons (Lee) Canada, wife of James S. Canada. She was born Nov 29, 1878 in Ballard Co., KY, and died in Wickliffe on March 13, 1946, stuck by a train. Sarah was the daughter of Henry Harrison Lee and Mary Helton (Hilton). She was buried in Wickliffe, KY.

Sarah A. Lee and William C. Timmons had three children Willie Ruth, Gus, & Bertha, 2nd marriage James S. Canada no known children.

Crice & Tackett Families

Mary Tackett McClain daughter of William and Catherine Ashworth Tackett of Wickliffe. The Tackett farm was located about 1 mile from Wickliiffe on what used to be Old Mayfield Rd. The land was later purchased by Walter Henry Jones and Laura Bell Jones (niece of Mary) - Laura is buried in the Wickliffe Cemetery.

Mary Swearingen Crice and Frederick W. Crice. They lived in North Ballard County, near Oscar. She was born in 1839 in Shelby County, KY. He was the son of John Crice of Ballard. I am not sure of the date on this picture but they were married in 1855 and had 15 children. I think it was probably taken around the turn of the century or just before.

Robert Frederick Crice and Lannie Rodgers Johnston Crice. Robert Crice was the County Jailer in Ballard County about 1931 until his death in 1949. Lannie finished his term. This picture was taken in the yard adjacent to the jail.

 
 
Barbara E. (Mayberry) Potts, Mary Robena (Mayberry) Tippy, Bud (possibly John William Mayberry) and the one not Identified, is probably Sarah Claresta (Mayberry) Arington.
Martha Mobena Mayberry and her first husband William Carter. Their son was Martin Luther.  Martha's 2nd husband was Isaac A. Armstrong. Their children: Jerry T.,  Luis, John H., Mary Effie, George Edward (see photo Antiock Cem.). Her brother was George Mayberry and his wife Martha J. Dennis. Martha Mobena and George were the children of Sarah Tennessee Lee and William Mayberry.
Barbara E. Mayberry Potts born 18 July 1865, Ballard Ky.and died 8 March 1933, married Marion Luther Potts born 4 March 1851 Union City Tenn., died 9 Sep. 1930.  Both died in Malden, Mo. Their children: Lonnie, Samuel Abner, Cecil Guy, John William, George Washington, Tilman, Raymond H., Minnie, Una Mae, and Lester Leslie

Tippy Eves.  Florence G. was not in the picture as she was married and living in Arkansas.  She married William Henry Cox.  George W. and Sarah T. died young, a couple years old buried at Silent Hill Cemetery, Near Blodgett, Missouri.

North east Amt of a Tract of land formerly owned by Jeremiah Hye and sold at Court's sale and bought by my Aunt Denny the land on which Henry Lee now resides: beginning at the North east corner of said tract and running south to the South East corner of said tract of land Thence West with the Southern line of said land to the South West Corner Thence North to the North West Corner. Then ce to the beginning - I will and bequeath to said Henry H. Lee sixty five acres of said Land, to be his laid off the East - end of said land so as to include all the improvements etc.
3rd  I Will and bequeath to Robt Lee his fifty acres of land to be laid off out of the One hundred & fifty-acre tract known as the East Russell tract of Land & The Hays Tract  Said line of division to run north and South through the Russell land so as to include enough off of said Russell land to make fifty acres when added to the Surplus left off the Hays tract:
4th  I Will and bequeath to my Son John M. Lee The following Tract-or parcel of land beginning at the South West corner of The Russell bought from Wickliffe - Thence South - to the Wickliffe corner. Thence East to a certain __ Hollow running through the field. Thence down said hollow north to a big branch. Thence with the meanders of said branch to the beginning.
5th  I Devise that - all the rest of my land be ___ - and the proceeds of sale applied to the maintenance of my daughter Thurza Ann Lee during her natural life except such amounts as maybe necessary to pay taxes etc. and at her death to be sold and equally divided between all my heirs then living and I hereby appoint H.H. Lee Trustee in Trust for my Daughter Thurza Ann Lee.
6th  It is my Will and devise that should I die before my contract with my Croppers expire That such work stock as may be necessary to cultivate the crops be not sold at the regular sale but at such time as the crops may be laid by then to be sold but all the rest of my personal property be sold at my demise. This is Robert S. Brunson Lived in Ballard Co. married Martha Jane Tippy 19 Jan 1888 Ballard Co. Martha Jane Tippy father was Simeon C. Tippy and Mary Elizabeth Conder and was the father and mother of John Tippy that married Mary Robena Mayberry. Robert S. Brunson is buried in the Barlow Cemetery, born 9 Jan, 1825 Christian Co. Ky. died 4 Dec. 1916 Ballard Co. Martha Jane burial is unknown.
