Billy Childress was the youngest of 5 sons of John Childress. His mother died when he was very young and his dad raised the five boys alone to be good men.

    Billy went to Michigan, and “while there, he found the Lord and became a preacher.” As of 1984, “Billy is 81 years old and going strong. He is the most sought after preacher for funerals of any preacher in Whitley Co. He has one daughter. He lives ….near the Brush Arbor on the John Foley farm.”
