Ovie G.
West was the son of Ervin and Letha West of Beck’s
Creek. He married Della Richardson who was the daughter of Thomas and Eliza
Richardson of Verne, Kentucky. Ovie and Della had two daughters: Dorothy
and Nan. Both were born at Bon Jellico. Nan died in 1971.
Ovie ran
the power house at Bon at two different times. They moved to Williamsburg
in 1919
and the girls went to the Williamsburg City School. They moved back to
Bon when
the girls were in high school.
Dorothy met
Tom Stout at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Copeland at a young peoples’ fellowship.
They were married in 1931. Dorothy and Tom had six children: Billy, Morris,
Jim, Freda, Doris,
and Wayne.
