Cora Elaine Adams Barrett, age 55 of Longs Creek, KY, passed away Thursday, August 15  2002 due to a long illness. She was the daughter of Amerida and the late Alice Adams. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Earnest Barrett of Morris Fork, KY; her father, Amerida Adams of Morris For, KY; one daughter, Andrea Lea Barrett of Morris Fork, KY; three sons, David Ingram and Amerida Deronn Barrett both of Morris Fork, KY, and Mickey D. Barrett of Buckhorn, KY; two sisters, Amanda Marie Johnson of Freeman Fork, KY and Elva Elizabeth Richardson of Booneville, KY; four brothers, Larry Wayne Adams and Calloway Adams both of Morris Fork, KY, Hubert Adams of Jackson and Jesse Marcus Adams of Buckhorn, KY; and six  grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, August 17, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Marshall and Rev. Jimmy Morris officiating. Burial followed in the Buck Herald Cemetery located at Turners Creek, KY.

Deaton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
