Sophia DEATON, age 88 of Longs Creek, KY Died Sunday, May 16,1999 at Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson due to a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Cair and Nancy BAKER TURNER and the widow of Jerry DEATON. She was a homemaker and a member of the Morris Fork Presbyterian Church for over 70 years. Survivors include: Four daughters, Pauline (James) CORNETT of Fairfield, OH, Ollie TURNER of Longs Creek, KY, Millie (Edward) MINTER of Frankfort, KY and Eileen (Tommy) PRICE of Booneville., KY; One son, Jerry (Kay) DEATON, Jr. of Frankfort, KY; One sister, Ollie TURNER of Canoe, KY; 13 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services were Wednesday, May 19, 1999 at 1 p.m. at the Morris Fork Presbyterian Church with Rev. David E. Rule and Rev. Timothy Jessen. Burial followed in the DEATON Family Cemetery located at Longs Creek, KY. DEATON Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
