Andrew Jackson, 88, of Crockettsville, Ky., passed away Thursday, January 23, 2003 of a long illness. Born May 2, 1914, he was the husband of the late Rachel Jackson and the son of the late Wiley and Betty Merrill Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a farmer and member of the Morris Fork Presbyterian Church. Survivors include four daughters: Nola Dewald, Cold Springs, Ky., Liz Wilson, Newport, Ky., Betty Stamper, Highland Heights, Ky., Pearlie Tackett, Hazard, Ky.; two sons; Wallace Jackson, Newport, Ky., Samuel Jackson, Jackson, Ky.; two sisters: Liz Mason and Stella Barrett both of Cincinnati, OH.; 16 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, January 26, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in the Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Turner and Rev. Johnny Herald officiating. Burial followed in the Jackson Family Cemetery located at Crockettsville, KY. Watts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
