John Riley, Jr., age 69 of Rogers, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2002. Born April 27, 1932 in Breathitt County, KY, he was the son of the late Robert and Lula Helton Riley. He was a Retired Aircraft Company employee and a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Riley of Rogers, KY: four brothers, Elihu Riley of London, KY, Arnold Riley of Morris Fork, KY, Robert Saul Riley of Franklin, OH, Clarence William Riley of Clay City, KY, and three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Thomas of Somerset, KY, Lydia Marie Sandlin of Franklin, OH, and Doris Jean Morris of Morris Fork, KY. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Belle D. Turner and Bessie Deaton. Funeral services were Thursday, April 25, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel with David Rule and Barry Radabaugh officiating. Burial followed in the Jackson Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Baker, Johnie Sebastian, Eddie Thomas, Roy Turner, Sanders Turner, and Jeff Riley. Breathitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The Jackson Times, May 2, 2002
