Grace Smith, age 63, of Morris Fork, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at her residence. She was a homemaker. Preceding her in death were her parents, Harvey and Letha Mosley Smith; her husband, Claude Smith; one son, Darrell Smith; two brothers: Frank Smith and David Smith. Survivors include one son, Harold (and wife, Susan) Smith, of Morris Fork; three daughters: Frances (and husband, Wade) Noble, of Jackson; Carolyn Smith and Linda (and husband, Warren) Riley, of Morris Fork; five brothers: Billy Ray Smith and Daniel Smith, of Morris Fork; J. H. Smith and Mark Allen Smith, of Booneville; and Robert Smith, of Jackson; six sisters: Dorothy Turner, of Burton Fork; Florence Stamper, Gail Deaton, Mavis Turner, Della Smith and Mary Riley, all of Morris Fork. Also surviving are six grandchildren and one daughter-in-law, Melody Smith, of Lower Twin. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 19, 2003 at the Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Garett Thomas. Burial followed at the Smith Family Cemetery at Morris Fork. Breathitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The Jackson Times, July 24, 2003
