2.  JAMES B.2 WILLIAMS (LORENZO D.1) was born 1827 in Kentucky.  He married SARAH MILES March 04, 1846 in Trimble County, Kentucky, daughter of JOHN MILES and MARGARET UNKNOWN.  She was born 1820.

3.  WILLIAM S.3 WILLIAMS (JAMES B.2, LORENZO D.1) was born 1850.  He married LAURA B. COLEMAN December 1880 in Carroll County, Kentucky, daughter of JOHN COLEMAN and SALEDIA HAMPTON.  She was born September 06, 1862.

     

Children of WILLIAM WILLIAMS and LAURA COLEMAN are:

                   i.       MAE4 WILLIAMS, b. March 30, 1884, Carroll County, Kentucky; d. October 1973, Louisville, Kentucky.

Mae never married. She died of tuberculosis in Waverly Hills Sanitarium, Louisville, KY

5.  ALANZO LAWSON3 WILLIAMS (JAMES B.2, LORENZO D.1) was born May 16, 1858 in Trimble County, Kentucky, and died January 30, 1913 in Carroll County, Kentucky.  He married SUSANNA KATHERINE COLEMAN 1887 in Carroll County, Kentucky, daughter of JOHN COLEMAN and SALEDIA HAMPTON.  She was born April 06, 1868 in Carroll County, Kentucky, and died November 10, 1906 in Carroll County, Kentucky.

Buried next to Susanna in Mound Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Kentucky

Also buried there, his brother Robert.

 

 

Notes for SUSANNA KATHERINE COLEMAN:

Susanna died of childbed fever, after giving birth to triplets, 2 boys and 1 girl. All three children died as well. They were her 8th, 9th and 10th children. She was 38 years old.

She was also known as Susan or Suzie.

Buried next to her husband Lawson, in Mound Hill Cemetery, Carroll Co., Ky.

                   i.       CARRIE4 WILLIAMS, b. 1888; d. 1907.

1920 Census: Gideon G Wood age 43 with wife Mary age 40 were living in Carrollton in 1920

 

 from Mary J. Quinn 5/13/2004

 

Granville was the youngest of 9 children (Ellen, Herbert, Ethel, Pat

"sadie", Ernest Annie, Roy and Granville plus one child who died before

1910) of Benjamin & Mary "mollie" Quinn nee Noel. Granville was living with

his brothers and parents on the 1920 Census.  He married Lillian G Williams

on Aug 31 1920 in Carrollton witnessed by Fred Williams and Sallie

Caldwell.  Granville listed his age as 20 and Lillian was 16 with signed

consent. Her parents are listed as A.L. Williams and Susie

Williams. On the 1930 Census, Granville was living at 32 Madison Street in

Prestonville, Carroll County KY, he listed his age at that time as 29,

divorced first married at age 19. He was living with son Bennie age 9 (?

uncle Bill, maybe it was a nickname his grandfather would have been Ben). he

was living next door to his sister Sadie, her husband Oscar Wiley and their

6 children. He died in 1949 and was buried with his parents (d. 1926 &

1927), his brother Ernest (d. 1914) and later his sister Ellen Quinn Taylor.

They are buried at IOOF Cemetery in Carrollton KY.

 

With a little more digging I find also in the 1930 census

Notes for WILLIAM GRANVILLE QUINN:

On the 1930 Census, Granville was living at 32 Madison Street in Prestonville, Carroll County KY, he listed his age at that time as 29, divorced first married at age 19. He was living with son Bennie age 9.

He was living next door to his sister Sadie (Pat), her husband Oscar Wiley and their 6 children. He died in 1949 and was buried with his parents (d. 1926 & 1927), his brother Ernest (d. 1914) and later his sister Ellen Quinn Taylor. They are buried at IOOF Cemetery in Carrollton KY.

Was divorced from Lillian early 1930s, later married Lottie Sherod and moved to Lexington, KY.

Notes for ETHEL WILLIAMS:

Edgar, Ethel and Edward were triplets. Two boys died at birth and were buried. Some days later, their sister died. The coffin was re-opened and she was buried with her brothers.
