WETHINGTON, JOSEPHINE L. CLEMENTS, 77, of Lebanon Junction, died peacefully on Thursday, February 9, 2006, at Norton Hospital in Louisville. She was born October 7, 1928, in Clementsville, KY, (Casey County). She was a graduate of Bethlehem Academy in Hardin County and Spalding University in Louisville. She began teaching in a one room school house in Casey County, and retired from St. Benedict Elementary School in Lebanon Junction, in 1991, after 31 years.

She was an active member of St. Benedict Church, The Women's Club, The Altar Society and the Seniors Group, The Bullitt County
Retired Teachers Association, The Lebanon Junction Women's Prayer Group and the Matriarch of Lebanon Junction Lion's Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lambert and Etta Clements; brothers, Howard, Roy and Glenn Clements; and a sister, Helen Goode. Survivors include her husband, George Pruitt Wethington Sr. of Lebanon Junction; daughter, Ruth Ann Hendrick
(Tim) of Carrollton, KY; two sons, George P. Wethington Jr. (Rebecca Brenzel) and Richard L. Wethington (Susan Springate) of Louisville; one sister, Kathleen Groomas of Marseilles, IL; and five grandchildren, Amanda Hourigan, Chris and Haley Hendrick and Richard and David Wethington.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2006, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Lebanon Junction, with Rev. David Naylor officiating. Burial will be in St. Clare Catholic Cemetery, Colesburg, KY. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Sunday, at Kappel Funeral Home, Lebanon Junction.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Benedict Catholic Church in Lebanon Junction.
