Wall Cemetery

The land for the Wall Cemetery was given by an early family named Wall because it was a beautiful spot of ground for a cemetery. The cemetery is located at Grove Ridge, Highway 501 about 15 miles East of Liberty.

Merriann, 1923-1928 Information updated 12/02/08 by
Connie Martin Davis

The above name should read; Merry Maxine instead of Merriann.  I can’t prove it yet, but I am guessing the real spelling is Mary Maxine.  No one in the family could read or write back then and left the inscription to the stone maker. My grandpa and grandma’s tombstone has been replaced and is now readable, although her named is still spelled wrong.... Connie
