I am looking for informationonon Johnathan or Johnnethn Walker Elliott or
Elliott D.O.B. October,1850 Johnson County Kentucky, Married April
8,1869 Danials Creek ,Johnson Co, Ky. Married Martha Caldonia Hill (Maybe
Rockaville Whitehorse
or Rocking Whitehorse). Johnathans parents are James Patton Elliott born
in 1823 and Elizabeth cunningham born 1815,His Fathers Parent are James
Elliott Born 1175, and Obedience Parsley born 1786. James Elliot's
parents are: Michael Elliot Born 1754 and Mary Trim born 1755. Martha's
Parents are suppose to be Semeon Hill. According to the Census report
Schedual #1 Inhabitants in Indian Creek Precinct in the county of
Johnson,State of Kentucky, enumerated by me on 12 day of July, 1870. Post
Office : Paintsville,KY It shows that Elliot Johnathan W. age 19, M,W,
working on farm,Value of real estate= $75,place of birth KY,Then it has
his wife Which is hard to read her name But it doesn't look like Martha,
and their daughters name. I have a copy of this censuses page. My name is

I am seeking the date of death and place of burial of Barbara Elizabeth
PORTER JOHNSON/JOHNSTON. She was a daughter of Sarah "Sally"
SHEW and John Porter, and was born in Russell County, VA in 1843. The
family moved to KY in 1859. Barbara married Hugh Johnson/Johnston around
1860, and they were still living in Elliott County in 1900. Any help
would be much appreciated.

Melvin, b. Sept. 13, 1946, m Jul 16, 1878 Corilda Alice PORTER, b. Apr
28, 1860. Their children were Frank, Henry Lee, Daniel, Josephine,
Sarah, and James Melvin III. Son Daniel went to Oklahoma, then Texas
with wife Nancy Elizabeth FOSTER.

son of Hayden & Vina OSBORN/ORSBAN SMITH
md. abt 1893
Ellen OSBORN/ORSBAN, b. 1876 d. 1939
dtr. of James Joe & Polly Pathe HAMILTON OSBORN/ORSBAN
[Vina & James were brother & sister.]
John's father left when he & his brother, James were young & his mother
remd. to a James GIBSON/GIPSON.
Ellen had many siblings, some are not verified: John Harrison, Hammie,
Ben, Wallace, Walter, Alice, Emma, Cecil, Jane & Lizzy
If anyone has any info. regarding any of these names, I would appreciate
hearing from you! I would like to locate birth certif's and/or a marriage
certif on John &/or Ellen, if possible. Could someone tell me the best
place to look? I'm from southern Ohio.

Nov. 27, 1997 Searching for descendants or anyone with information
about the ISON family that lived around Grayson in Elliott Co. KY.
and moved from there to Scioto Co. Ohio around 1915. Some of the
children's names were: Lenville James ISON, Prudence ISON,

Nov. 29, 1997 Searching for the parents of JAMES F. ADKINS who was
born in Elliott Co. KY. about 1840. James married RACHEL HANSON.
I have their first 4 children, but when Iva Adkins Ison died her
obituary stated she was survived by 4 brothers & 3 sisters. I
would appreciate any help. These families were all born and lived and
buried in Elliott Co. KY. I'm having a difficult time getting the

I am searching for any & all info on a ROBERT LANEY who was born in Wise
Va., but lived in Elliott County. He was married to a ? Stapleton and
had one Daughter Ivy Laney which was my Grandmother. His first wife
died when my grandmother was just a baby. His second wife was Sena
Sparks. When they both died they lived in South Shore, Ky in Greenup
County. My Grandfather Robert and Sena raised my mother and her two
sisters because my Grandma Ivy died at the age of 22. Ivy Laney married
William Aldridge Feb. 1, 1918 and they had 3 small girls when she died.
My mother being the middle child was 3 years old when her mother died.
I would appreciate any help I could get on My Mothers Family.

Just beginning this research for my husband's family. Alan - son of Mary
Sue Bounk Porter and Royce Edward Porter: Royce - Son of Lola Robinson
Porter and Algie Porter: Algie - Son of Myrtle ____ Porter and Elijah
Porter. Myrtle and Ellijah had 14 children including Algie, Warner,
Nelson, Zella and Della (twins), Charles and Flossie. It is speculated
that the oldest daughter (name not known at this time) had two children
that Myrtle and Elijah raised as their own and are included in the 14. It
has also been said that they had two additional sets of twins which I would
love to verify as true. Alan and I have identical twin daughters (age 8,
3-2-89) Kyndra Paige Porter and Katelynd Brooke Porter. Would love to know
if Myrtle or Elijah's siblings also had multiple births. Any info on
births, deaths, burials, marriages, etc. would be appreciated.
Lola - daughter of Charlie Oscar Robinson and Minnie Mae Baugess. Charlie
- son of George W. and Lucy Robinson. Minnie - Daughter of Sherman and
Malissa Baugess. Lola had eight siblings including Linnie, Sherman,
George, Lissie Alice, Lloyd, James, Herschel and Lillian. Any info would

LAWSON...My grandmother, Goldie Mae CHANEY was born 4 May 1912 in Grassy
Creek, Morgan Co., KY and her birth certificate states that her mother was
Melvina LAWSON age 35, born in Elliott Co., KY. Melvina's death certificate
says she was born 5 Jan 1876, daughter of Henry LAWSON and Betty TACKETT.
Need birth/sibling/marriage/parent/death info on Henry LAWSON and Betty
TACKETT. Would also like marriage info for Melvina LAWSON. Please e-mail.
