Below is a portion of the 1908 Sanford insurance map for New Castle. This shows the east side of main street going North on Hwy 55/421. The courthouse is in the next block on the same side of the street. The Broom factory would have been on the property behind "The Stumble Inn" in Eminence. The Eminence Bottling Works was located on the south side of West Broadway behind a row of houses across the road from about where the coin laundry is now located. The only place denoted as a Buggy business is listed as Implements and Buggies. From the top it is the fourth bldg. Whether this was a factory is hard to tell. During this same time period there were at least two listed as  "Carriage Works" in Eminence.
