Elizabeth Thomas 

Elizabeth H. “Dunkie” Thomas, 90, of Clarksville, IN, died Thursday, January 20, 2011, at the Clark Memorial Hospital.  A native of New Castle, she was the former Elizabeth Hoagland.  She was also a former employee of the U. S. Census Bureau and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.  She was the daughter of the late John and Lucie Mae Hoagland. 

She is survived by three sons: John W. Thomas V, and his wife, Debra, Sugar Hill, GA, Lawrence M. Thomas, Sr., New Albany, IN, and Steven L. Thomas and wife, Mary Ann , New Albany, IN; two daughters: E. Carroll Stewart and husband, Walt, Cape Coral, FL and Susan L. Thomas, New Albany, IN; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas IV and one daughter, Lucie J. Keller. 

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 24th, at Market Street Chapel of Seabrtook, Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Homes.  Interment was private at the New Castle Cemetery.

Naomi Thomas 

Naomi Thomas, 66, of Eminence, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at the Hurstborne Health Care, Louisville after a long illness.  She was a retired employee of the Brunswick Corporation, a member of the First Baptist Church, Eminence, and the daughter of the late Lee and Bernice Mills Thomas. 

She is survived by one daughter: Angela Miles Thomas; one son: Roderick Miles; one sister: Rose Wright; one brother: James Thomas; and two grandchildren, all of Eminence. 

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24th at the First Baptist Church, Eminence.  Rev. Charles Duncan officiated with Dr. W. H. Goatley assisting.  Interment was in the Eminence Cemetery.

Fred Tingle 

Fred Tingle, 73, of Campbellsburg, died Thursday, February 17, 2011, at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville.  He was the son of the late Fred Tingle and Pauline Newkirk Tingle Boyer. 

He is survived by two children: Fred Tingle, Jr., Warrenton, VA and Lisa Smith, Louisville. 

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 19th, at Ransdell Funeral Home, Campbellsburg. 

Rev. Shawn Golden, Pastor of the Campbellsburg Baptist Church, officiated.  Interment was in the Turners Station Cemetery.

Carroll True

Carroll True, 67, of Eminence, died Monday, January 24, 2011, at Homestead Nursing Center.  He was the son of the late Willard and Zelma Hawkins True. 

He is survived by one sister: Mary Katherine True, Eminence. 

Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 26th at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home.  Bro. Ed Berry, Pastor of Henry Christian Church, officiated.  Interment was in the Eminence Cemetery.

Zoey Turocy 

Zoey Marie Dawn Turocy, Infant, of Trimble County, died Thursday, February 17, 2011, in Louisville. 

She is survived by her parents, Tim Turocy and Katie McIntosh and siblings: Kayla Turocy,  Kailia Powell, Shelby, Timothy, Tyler, Dustin, Devan, Dalton and Logan Turocy. 

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 19th, at Ransdell Funeral Home, Bedford.

Interment was in the Bedford Cemetery.

Donald Tharp 

Donald Dean Tharp, 73, of Campbellsburg, died Monday, December 12, 2011, at The Richwood in LaGrange.  He was the son of the late Roy Gilbert Tharp and Elizabeth Jones Tharp. 

He is survived by his siblings: Mary Helen Simpson and Martha Nelson, both of Campbellsburg, jean Payton, New Castle, Ray Tharp, Sellersburg, IN, Linda Williams and Kay Taylor, both of Eminence, and Steve Tharp, Bedford. 

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15th, at Ransdell Funeral Home, Campbellsburg.  Rev. Mike Huff officiated.  Interment was in the Sulphur Cemetery.
