          Warren F. Carter, 75, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, August 4, 2004 in Louisville.  He was a mechanic at Tri-County Ford, a U. S. Army Veteran and the son  of the late William Ross Carter and Catherine Strasser.

            He is survived by his wife: Helen Davis Carter, LaGrange; one son: James �Jim� Carter, LaGrange; two sisters: Mary Smith, New Castle and Julia Greenwood, LaGrange.

            Funeral services were held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 6th at Arch L. Heady Radcliffe Funeral Home, LaGrange. Rev. Gary McGuffy, Pastor of Shiloh Methodist Church, officiated.  Burial was in the Louisville Memorial Gardens East.

James Casey

 

          James Casey, 86, of Shelbyville, died Monday, June 23, 2003 at his residence.  He was the son of the late James Madison and Nittie Scriber Casey, a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, a retired general manager of Producers Livestock Marketing Association, Louisville, and a member of the First Christian Church, Shelbyville.

            He is survived by his wife: Meta Downey Casey, Shelbyville; one daughter: Elberta Casey, Lexington; three siste4rs: Juanita Jeffries and Glenna Singleton, both of Eminence and Alma Clements, Pleasureville and several nieces and nephews.

            Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 26th at Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville.  Rev. Jim Collins and Rev. John Willis officiated.  Interment was in the Franklinton Cemetery.

James Catlett

 

          James Benjamin Catlett, 81, of Pleasureville, formerly of Lawrenceburg, died Thursday, August 1, 2002 at Norton Suburban Hospital, Louisville after an illness.  He was a native of Anderson County, the son of the late Hollie C. and Emma Jane Elliott Catlett, a U. S. Air Force Veteran of WWII and a retired driver for Lawrenceburg Transfer Company after 24 years of service.

            He is survived by one sister: Aileen Baker, Lawrenceburg; one niece; two nephews; five great-nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Rae Gibson Catlett.

            Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 5th at Gash Memorial Chapel.  Bro. Tommy Baker officiated.  Burial was in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Frances Catlett

 

          Frances Catlett, 92, of Eminence, formerly of Mt. Eden, died Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at Valley View Health and Rehab Center, Taylorsville.  She was a native of Spencer County, the daughter of the late James Edward and Mahala Sparrow Nethery, a teacher for 47 years and the oldest member of the Mt. Eden Christian Church.

            She is survived by one daughter: Dianne Rucker, Eminence; four grandchildren and eleven Great0grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one daughter, Julie Murphy.

            Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23rd at the Mt. Eden Christian Church.  Rev. Gerald Summerfield, Bro. Doug Martin, Rev. Bill Brumley and Rev. Truman McClain officiated.  Interment was in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.

Sharon Chaney

 

          Sharon Kay Chaney, 51, of Eminence, died Friday, November 9th, 2001 at the Hospice and Palliative Care Unit, Louisville.  She was the daughter of the Pail Edward and Frances Pearl Summitt Senninger, a family resource and youth services center coordinator and a member of the Living Waters Church, Clay Village, Shelby County.

            She is survived by two sons: Daniel Chaney, Mt. Washington and David Chaney, Eminence and one granddaughter.

            Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11th at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home.  Rev. Joel League, Pastor of the Living Waters Church, Clay Village, officiated.  Interment was in the Chenoweth Run Cemetery, Louisville.

Anna Chesher

 

          Anna Virginia Sampson Chesher, 92, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, March 3, 2001 at Jewish Hospital, Shelbyville.  She was a native of Shelby County, the daughter of the late Elzie and Ida Mae Hankins Sampson, a cook at the Old Mason�s Home and Cedarmore Baptist Camp and a member of Cross Keys Worship Center.

            She is survived by one son: Gene Chesher, Smithfield; one grandson; two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Boley Baker Chesher.

            Funeral services were4 held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 5th at Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville.  Rev. George Blakeman, Cross Keys Worship C enter, officiated.  Interment was in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.

Norman Chilton

 

          Norman D. Chilton, 90, of Campbellsburg, died Monday, March 26, 2001 at his residence.  He was a native of Trimble County, the son of the late William Smith and Gerty Pyles Chilton and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church, Campbellsburg.

            He is survived by one son: Larry Chilton, Campbellsburg; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Nelson Chilton and one son, James.

            Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28th at the Ransdell Funeral Home.  Bro. Doug Boyd, Pastor of the Providence Baptist Church officiated.  Burial was in the Campbellsburg Cemetery.

Ralph Chilton

 

          Ralph Radcliff Chilton, 83, of Hemet, CA, formerly of Campbellsburg, died Monday, November 26, 2001 at the Hemet Valley Hospital, Hemet, CA.  He was a native of Campbellsburg, son of the late Harry and Ethel Radcliff Chilton, a retired farmer, and a member of the Campbellsburg Masonic Lodge and the Hemet Valley Baptist Church.

            He is survived by his wife: Beulah Simpson Chilton, Hemet CA; one daughter: Sally (Avery) Richey, San Diego, CA; two sons: Ronnie Chilton, Hemet, CA and Wayne Chilton, Longwood, FL; one brother: Roy Chilton: Hemet CA and five grandchildren.

            Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1st at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Rev. Bill Holladay, Centertown, officiated.  Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery.

William Chilton

 

          William E. Chilton, 60, of Campbellsburg, died Friday, August 8, 2003 at the Veterans Hospital, Louisville.  He was the son of the late Carlisle and Margaret Jackson Chilton, a Veteran of WWII, a retired employee of National Distillery Bottling Company and a member of the Turners Station Methodist Church.

            He is survived by two brothers: James Chilton, Lawrenceburg and Randolph Chilton, Turners Station and one sister: Mable Griffith, Campbellsburg.

            Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 11th at Ransdell Funeral Home, Campbellsburg.  Rev. Ear Wayne Perry officiated.  Burial was in the Turners Station Cemetery.

Belle Chisholm

 

          Belle Peyton Chisholm, 74, of Shelbyville, died Thursday, March 14, 2002 at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville.  She was a native of Henry County, the daughter of the late John and Lula Pearl Moppins Peyton, a child care attendant for the First Baptist Church, Shelbyville, and a nurses aide for Colonial Hall and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

            She is survived by one son: Tim Chisholm, Dell City, OK; one step-daughter: Peggy Woods, Perry Park; three brothers: Lawrence Peyton and Bobby Peyton, both of Shelbyville and Larry Peyton, Harrah, OK; five sisters: Callie Woods, Campbellsburg, Lillian Clark, Cropper, Naomi Peyton and Juanita Raisor, both of New Castle and Patsy Lisby, Eminence; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

            Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 18th at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville.  Rev. Garry Polston, Pastor of the New Castle United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Sterling Chisholm

 

          Sterling B. �Cedar� Chisholm, 74, of Pleasureville, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at Kindred Hospital, Louisville, after an extended illness. He was the son of the late Ernest and Anna Downey Chisholm, a farmer and an employee at Bond�s Pool Hall and attended the Grubridge Church.

            He is survived by his wife: Rena Evans Chisholm, Pleasureville; one step-daughter: Anna Marie Evans, Pleasureville; three step-sons: Edward Evans, Bedford, Forrest Evans and David �Dago� Evans, both of Pleasureville; one brother: C. A. �Doc� Chisholm, Pleasureville; two sisters: Leona (Onie) Adams, Grubridge, and Minnie Kemper, Bethlehem; two grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

             Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m Saturday, July 6th at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville.  Rev. Donnie Briscoe officiated.  Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Virgie Chisholm

 

          Virgie Mae Kelley Chisholm, 85, of Frankfort died Thursday, August 22, 2002 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.  She was a native of Henry County, the daughter of the late Humphrey and Muriel Mitchell Kelley, a homemaker and a member of the Bellepoint Baptist Church.

            She is survived by one daughter: Carol Jones, Frankfort; one son: James Lawrence Chisholm, Knoxville, TN; one sister: Maude Hopper, Frankfort; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Chisholm.

            Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 24th at leCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home, Frankfort.  Rev. Bobby Brooks officiated.  Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort.

Helen Christopher

 

          Helen Downey Christopher, 85, of Gratz, died Monday, August 6, 2001 at the home of her daughter in Ashland.  She was the daughter of the late David and Lula Harper Downey, a homemaker and a member of the Gratz Baptist Church.

            She is survived by two daughters: Angela Dosws, Lockport and Esther Rearden, Ashland; two sisters: Lucille Delling, Gratz and Sarah Donaldy, Sarasota, FL; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Estill Christopher and one son, Garnett Paul Christopher.

            Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 8th at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville.  Rev. Tom Hall officiated.  Burial was in the Lebannon Cemetery, Frankfort.

          Ann Elizabeth Clark, of Pleasureville, died Thursday, August 23, 2001 at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville after a long illness.  She was the daughter of the late Ad and Novella Woods Shadwick, a homemaker and a member of the Pleasureville Baptist Church.

            She is survived by her husband: Hillis �Red� Clark, Pleasureville; one son: Danny Clark, Pleasureville; one daughter: Phyllis Banta, Pleasureville; one sister: Mary Jennings, Shelbyville; one granddaughter; two grandsons; one niece and two nephews.

          Edenah Penn Clark, 63, of Eminence, died suddenly Saturday, August 18, 2001 at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late John and Nellie Elizabeth Neville Penn and a member of the Henry Christian Church.

            She is survived by her husband: Cecil Clark, Eminence; one daughter: Wanda (Wesley) Perkins, Campbellsburg; four sons: Cecil Wayne Clark and Danny Clark, both of Turners Station, Charles David Clark, Eminence, and Tony Ray Clark, New Castle; two sisters: Geneva Smith, North Vernon, IN and Alene3 Proctor, Carrollton; two brothers: James Penn, Campbellsburg and John Lloyd Penn, Carrollton; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

            Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 21st at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Rev. Rick Coleman, Pastor of the New Castle Christian Church, officiated.  Interment was in the Franklinton Cemetery.

          Mary Elizabeth Baer Clark, 62, of Campbellsburg, died Thursday, January 22, 2004 at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Dorothy Lyons Baer.

            She is survived by her husband: Orville Clark, Campbellsburg; one daughter: Melissa (Chris) Cunningham, LaGrange; three sons: Orville David Clark, Bethlehem, Jeffrey Scott Clark, Bedford and Kenneth Ray Clark, Campbellsburg; two sisters: Mary Evelyn Pierce, Florida and Willie Dee Honditch, El Paso, TX; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

            Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24th at prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Rev. Paul Harvey, Pastor of the Crossroads Lighthouse Church, officiated.  Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery.

            She is survived by her husband: Jimmy Clark, Eminence; one daughter: Belinda Streible, Eminence; two sons: Steve Clark, Shelbyville and Stanley Clark, Eminence.

          John Calvin Clubb, 88, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at his residence.  He was a native of Henry County, the son of the late Marshall and Mary Jane Caldwell Clubb and a tobacco farmer.

            He is survived by two daughters: Jackie Amos and Pat Sibley, both of LaGrange; one son: Terry Clubb, LaGrange; one sister: Beulah C. Mitchell, Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

          Rev. Bettie Jim Rich Coleman, 71, of Pleasureville, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at the home of her daughter.  She was pastor at the Owenton First United Methodist Church, an author, a homemaker, the daughter of the late Claude Raymond and Mary Josephine Goodwin Rich, and a member of the Pleasant View United Methodist Church.

            She is survived by her husband: Rollie Coleman, Pleasureville; one daughter: Kathleen Bond, Pleasureville; two brothers: Joe Rich, Louisville and Ray Rich, Columbus, OH; one sister: Ellen Wright, Louisville and one grandson.

            Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 31st at the Pleasant View United Methodist Church.  Rev. Lynn Farlee officiated.  Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.  Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville, was in charge of arrangements.

Jesse Coleman

 

          Jesse �Buster� Coleman, 80, of Sulphur, died Friday, March 5, 2004 at Baptist Hospital Northeast, LaGrange.  He was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Smith Coleman, a farmer, a director of the United Citizens Bank, New Castle for 28 years, a member of Simpson Lodge #189 and a member of the Sulphur Christian Church.

            He is survived by two daughters: Jean Ann Coleman, Frankfort and Penny (Wayne) Chilton, Longwood, FL and four grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Morgan Coleman and one granddaughter.

            Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 8th at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Rev. Nick Coleman, Sulphur, officiated, assisted by Rev. Marcia Woodyard, Pastor of the St. Paul United Methodist Church, Frankfort.  Interment was in the Sulphur Cemetery.

          Margaret Ann Combs, 48, of Smithfield, died Thursday, December 14, 2000 after an illness.  She was a native of Madison, IN, the daughter of the late Forrest Evan and Alma Irene Langston Wright.

            She is survived by her husband: James Combs, Smithfield; two daughters: Sherry Ramirez, Eminence and Karen Combs, Smithfield; two sisters: Alma Smith, Indianapolis, IN and Betty (Benny) Totten, Bedford; three brothers: Charles Wright, Carrollton, James Wright, Bedford and Jerry Wright, Madison, IN; and two granddaughters.

            Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16th at prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Rev. Bill Brumley, Hospice of Louisville, officiated.  Interment was in the Mount Caramel Cemetery, Trimble County.

Margaret D. Combs

 

          Margaret D. Combs, 72, of Pleasureville, died Thursday, April 14, 2005 at the Baptist hospital Northeast, LaGrange.  She was a homemaker, a member of the Pleasureville Baptist Church and the daughter of the late John T. and Eva Jennings Downey.

            She is survived by her husband: Van Combs, Jr., Pleasureville; two daughters: Barbara Coons, Crestview and Audrey Way, Pleasureville; one brother: Benny Downey, Elmburg; two sisters: Mildred Wainscott, Eminence; Mandy Ellen Peyton, Frankfort; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

            Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 17th at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville.  Rev. Jerry Anderson, Pastor of the Pleasureville Baptist Church, officiated.  Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Charles Congleton

 

          Charles W. Congleton, 72, of Lexington, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at the V. A. Medical Center in Lexington.  He was the son of the late Guy and Nannie Lee Farley Congleton.  He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and had worked as a professional engineer.  He served as a Captain in the U>S> Air Force for five years.

            He is survived by his wife: Janice Egerton Congleton, Lexington; one daughter: Brooke (Bill) Nevius, Prospect; two sons: Lee (Frederica) Congleton, Bedford and Christian  (Marilyn) Congleton, Lexington; one sister: Nadine Jeffries, Sulphur; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Alma Guy Vaugh and Madonna Congleton.

            Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 19th at Milward Funeral Home, Lexington.  Dr. Thomas Wilkes officiated.  Interment was in the Lexington Cemetery.

Martha Cook

 

          Martha Frances Mahoney Cook, 70, of Shelbyville, died Thursday, October 21, 2004 at her residence.  She was a member of the Shelbyville First Baptist Church, and the daughter of the late Orlester (Mike) and Mary Margaret Purvis Mahoney.

            She is survived by her husband: Leo N. Cook, Shelbyville; one daughter: Judy Cook, Shelbyville; one son: Steven L. Cook, Shelbyville; one sister: Jean Ann (Price) Batts, New Castle; one brother: Orlester (Leck) Mahoney, Frankfort; and two granddaughters.  She was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Alan Cook, three sisters and five brothers.

            Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 25th at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Rev. Jesse Baxter, Chaplain of the Old Masonic Home, officiated.  Interment was in the New Castle Cemetery.

          James Phillip �Phil� Cook, 71, of Eminence, died Friday, December 28, 2001 at Jewish Hospital after a long illness.  He was a native of Henry County, the son of the late Lewis L. and Evelyn Shannon Cook, a farmer, attended the Point Pleasant Christian Church and was a member of the Pleasureville United Methodist Church.

            He is survived by his wife: Faye Dunavan Cook, Eminence; one son: Gary Phillip Cook, Pendleton; one daughter: Rita Cook Tingle, Eminence; and three grandchildren.

            Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 31st at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville.  Rev. Rachele Snellgrove, Point Pleasant Christian Church, officiated.  Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Anna Coombs

         

          Anna D. Coombs, 95, of Pleasureville, died Friday, October 12, 2012, at Baptist Hospital East, Louisville.  She was born in Campbellsburg and was the daughter of the late William and Mamie Jane Crouch Lilly.  She was a retired owner/operator of Coombs Variety Store, Pleasureville and was a member of the Pleasureville Baptist Church.

            She is survived by two sons: William A. �Jr. Bill� (Doris Thrift) Coombs, Jr., Richmond, VA and Lonnie D. (Debbi) Coombs, Louisville; four grandchildren: three great-grandchildren and two nieces.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Andrew Coombs, Sr., a sister, Wila Mae Norwood and one niece, Joanna Leonard.

            Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 16th at Pleasureville Baptist Church.  Rev. Jerry Anderson, Pastor of the Pleasureville Baptist Church, officiated.  Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.  Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville, was in charge of arrangements.

James Coombs, Jr.

 

          James T. Coombs, Jr., 68, of Campbellsburg, died Friday, July 27, 2001 at Hospice of Louisville.  He was a native of Henry County, the son of the late James Truman and Lula F. Wright Coombs, Sr., a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, a quality inspector at Ford Motor Company for 41 years, and a member of the Campbellsburg Christian Church.

            He is survived by his wife: Mary Ann Bush Coombs, Campbellsburg; three daughters: Ann Sherrie Coombs, Melissa Jo Moore and Amy Lynn Coombs, all of Campbellsburg; one brother: Wayne C. Coombs, Louisville; one sister: Elizabeth Ann Ralston, Louisville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by one grandson.

            Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 30th at the Campbellsburg Christian Church.  Bro. Charles Highfield officiated.  Interment was in the Campbellsburg Masonic Cemetery.

John W. Coomes, Sr.

 

          John W. Coomes, Sr., 96, of Eminence, died Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at Baptist Hospital Northeast, LaGrange.  He was a graduate of the Eminence High School, attended Transylvania College, Lexington, graduated from the Jefferson School of Law, Louisville, an Attorney in New Castle for 67 years, the City Attorney of Eminence for 36 years, a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Henry County Bar Association, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a life-long member of the Kappa Alpha, and a member of the Eminence Baptist Church.

            He is survived by three sons: Ben P. Coomes and John W. Coomes, II, both of Eminence and Billy Bob Coomes, New Castle; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Thurman Coomes and his sister, Margaret Coomes Erwin.

            Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28th at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Rev. Michael Duncan, Pastor of the Eminence Baptist Church, officiated.  Interment was in the Eminence Cemetery.

Fred Coppersmith

 

          Fred Parker Coppersmith, 81, of Pleasureville, formerly of Gest, died Thursday, May 23, 2001 at his residence.  He was the son of the late William T. �Pete� and Flora Mag Browning Coppersmith, a farmer and a member of the Shelbyville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

            He is survived by his wife: Condie McDowell Coppersmith, Pleasureville; one son: Freddie L. Coppersmith, Eagle Lake, FL; two daughters: Bina B. Holbrook, Carlisle and Bobbie L. McDowell, Pleasureville; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

            Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25th at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville.  President5 Neal, church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officiated.  Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Charles �Chuck� Corolla

 

          Charles �Chuck� Corolla, 85, of Pleasureville, died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at his residence.  He was a jockey for several years and the Jockeys� Guild Manager for 20 years.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Pleasureville.  He was the son of the late Samuel and Josephine Comito Corolla.

            He is survived by his wife: Rose Marie Fitch Corolla, Pleasureville; two daughters: Vicky Hines, Louisville and Rita (David) Kennedy, Louisville; three sons: Tony Hines, Louisville, Samuel (Connie) Corolla, Pembroke Pines, FL and Frank Corolla, Louisville; two sisters: Mildred Palumbo, Providence, RI and Rosemarie (Richard) Price, Flagler, FL; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

          Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3rd at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Interment was in the Resthaven Memorial Park, Louisville.

Effie Cox

 

          Effie Mae Cox, 78, of Pleasureville, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 in LaGrange.  She was a member of the Greater Life Apostolic Church.

            She is survived by two sons: Donald Earl �J.R.� Cox, Pleasureville and Dennis Cox, Shelbyville; four daughters: Burnis Ann �Sissy� Cox and Thelma Jean �Jeannie� Grigsby, both of Pleasureville, Betty Carol Lewis and Effie Gail Reynolds, both of LaGrange; two sisters: Doris Scrogham, LaGrange and Catherine Young, Pleasureville; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Cox, Sr., one son, Gilbert Thomas Cox and one daughter, Sherry Faye Cox.

            Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 28th at Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Bro. Paul Harvey officiated.  Interment was in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville.
