Mrs. Nannie Arnold 

Mrs. Nannie Arnold, 82 of Route 1, Turners Station died Saturday, May 12th at her home. 

She is survived by two sons, John Thomas Arnold and Gayle Arnold, both of Route 1, Turners Station; and two grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 15th at the Thomas Funeral Home, Pleasureville.  Rev. William Roberts, pastor of the Pleasureville Christian Church, officiated.  Interment was in the Sulphur Cemetery.

Miss Nannie Bell Arnold

Miss Nannie Bell Arnold died at the I.O.O.F. and Rebekah Home in Eminence at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday.  She had suffered from arthritis for several years.  She was a member of the Eminence Christian Church. 

Funeral services were conducted at the home at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, with Rev. W. W. Marvin, pastor of the Eminence Christian Church, officiating.  Burial was in the Eminence Cemetery. 

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Martha E. Cochran, Eminence.


Coleman Arnsparger 

Ernest Coleman Arnsparger, age 68, of Pleasureville died Sunday, January 23, 1994 at his residence following an illness.  He was a member of the Pleasureville Christian Church, a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank, a farmer, a retiree of National Distillers and a World War II veteran. 

He is survived by his wife, Imogene Powell Arnsparger; one son, Dale C. Arnsparger, Bagdad; one brother, Logan Arnsparger, Pleasureville; one granddaughter and several nieces. 

Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, at Sholar-Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Darryl Church officiating. Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Marion Arnsparger

Mr. Marion Arnsparger, age 82, of Pleasureville, died Monday, August 2, 1993, at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville.  He was a member of Pleasureville United Methodist Church and a retired mechanic. 

He is survived by his wife, Eva Mae McGowan Arnsparger, Pleasureville; three nephews: Coleman Arnsparger and Logan Arnsparger, both of Pleasureville; and Julian Watkins, Louisville; and several great nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services are today Wednesday, August 4) at 2 p.m. at Sholar-Thomas Funeral Home.  Rev. Van Firestine and Maurice Schooler will officiate.  Special music will be provided by Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Schooler.  Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.

 Bradley Asbury 

Bradley S. Asbury, of Chester Virginia, Died June 4th at Retreat Hospital, Richmond. 

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth D. Asbury, Chester; three daughters, Fawn A, Pace, Frankfort, Amy Asbury, Richmond, and Holly Anne Asbury, Chester; one step-daughter, Amy Louise Lucore, Chester; one brother, William Asbury, Illinois. 

Funeral services were held Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. in the Chesterfield Chapel of J. T. Moriss and Son Funeral Home. 

Interment was private.

Linda Ashby

Linda M. Ashby, age 59, of Franklinton, formerly of Louisville, died Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Kindred Hospital, Louisville, after a long illness.  She was a native of Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of the late John Cleaver and Gertrude Hundley Crain, and a member of Franklinton Baptist Church. 

She is survived by one son, Kenneth Michael Ashby, Franklinton; dear friend, Ivan Gordon, Franklinton; one brother, James Lee Crain, Louisville and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Ashby and one sister.

Funeral services will be today (Wednesday, June 23) at 11 a.m. at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Rev. Jacky Newton, pastor of Franklinton Baptist Church, will officiate.

Interment will be in Franklinton Cemetery.

Guy Ashmore, Jr. 

 Guy Ashmore, Jr., age 88 of Louisville, died Friday, June 16, 2006.  He was the son of the late Guy M. Ashmore, Sr., and Leda Sadlier Ashmore.  He was retired as the music supervisor from the Henry and Oldham County School systems, a WWII Army veteran, a member of Elk Lodge #8 and a member of Douglas Boulevard Christian Church. 

He is survived by his wife, Norma Winburn Ashmore, Louisville; and one brother, Byron Ashmore, Washington, Indiana. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 19 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Rev. Mark Dickinson of London officiated.  Interment was in Smithfield Cemetery.

Elmer Atchison 

Elmer Atchison, 88 of Eminence, died Thursday, June 11 at Homestead Nursing Center in Lexington. 

He was a retired farmer, a native of Bath County, Kentucky and a member of the East Union Christian Church in Nicholas County. 

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James (Minnie) Pollard of Pleasureville; four sons, W. R. Atchison, Eminence; Owen C. Atchison, Smithfield; Charles B. Atchison, Pleasureville; and Marvin Atchison, Smithfield; three brothers, Darrell Atchison, Robert Atchison, and Eugene Atchison, all of Paris, Kentucky; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14 from Prewitt's New Castle, with Rev. Michael Duncan, pastor of the Eminence Baptist Church, officiating 

Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Ermine Atchinson 

Ermine Lee Wallace Atchinson, age 71 of Smithfield, died Saturday, November 12, 2005 at The Richwood in LaGrange.  She was a member of the Point Pleasant Christian Church and daughter of the late Ross and Annette Kennedy Wallace, Sr. 

She is survived by her husband, Marvin E. Atchinson, Smithfield; on son, Marvin Lee Atchinson, Eminence; three sisters: Mrs. Irvin (Irita) Gatlin, Lowell, Mississippi; Mrs. Charles (Zelia) Young, Lyndon; Mrs. Marshall (Claudell) Clubb, Bethlehem and two grandsons.  She was preceded in death by one brother. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 15 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Rev. Scott Storie, Pastor of Point Pleasant Christian Church officiated.  Interment was in Pleasureville Cemetery.

Mary Ann Atchison 

Mary Ann Atchison, age 82 of New Castle, Died Saturday, September 3, 2005 at University of Louisville Hospital.  She was the daughter of the late Raymond Caplinger and Eliza List Adams and member of the New Castle United Methodist Church.

 She is survived by her husband, Owen Atchison, New Castle; two daughters: Mary Jean Atchison, Frankfort; Linda Smith, Smithfield; one son, Raymond Atchison, Eminence; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, September 7) at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.  Rev. Don Hatton, pastor of Jamestown Methodist Church will officiate, assisted by Rev. Gary Polston, pastor of New Castle Methodist Church and Rev. Anthony Pierce, pastor of New Castle Christian Church.  Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.

Etta Mae Auxier 

Etta Mae Heightchew Auxier, age 77 of Shelbyville, formerly of Pleasureville, died Sunday, May 29, 2005.  She was a native of Henry County, daughter of the late Herbert and Rosa Ann Carter Heightchew, member of Union Baptist Church and a homemaker. 

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Auxier Kent, Pleasureville; two sons, James Edward Auxier, Hudson, Florida; Anthony (Tony) Auxier, Shelbyville; two brothers: R. W. Heightchew, Lawrence burg; Hollis Heightchew, Mt. Sterling; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Scudder Edward Auxier. 

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, June 1) at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville.  Rev. Mike Huff and Rev. Kevin Whitt, Harvest Community Church, will officiate.  Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.

Freddie Ayler 

Freddie Ayler, 49, died in Carrollton Sunday. 

He was owner and operator of Ayler's Boat Dock.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betsy Ayler. 

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Graham Funeral Home Carrollton.

Doyle Ayers 

Mr. Doyle Ayers, age 60, of Dayton, Ohio, died Friday, June 9, 1995 at the Kettering Convalescent Home in Dayton, Ohio.  He was a native of Ewing, Virginia, formerly of Eminence and a member of Union Baptist Church. 

He is survived by one son, Leonard Ayers, Nashville, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 15, at Prewitt Funeral Home, New Castle.  Rev. Michael Duncan, pastor of the Eminence Baptist Church, officiated.  Interment was in Point Pleasant Cemetery.

Miss Lillian Ayres 

Miss Lillian Ayres, 80 of Eminence, died Sunday, October 18th at the Frankfort Manor Nursing Home. 

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mae Hockensmith, Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 21st at the Eminence Cemetery.  Rev. Michael Duncan, officiated.

Renee Ayres 

Renee Allen Ayres, age 45 of Pleasureville, died Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville.  She was the daughter of the late Charles and Pauline Alsip Fielden, an EMS Paramedic for eight years and a member of Lockport Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Ayres, Pleasureville; two sisters: Belinda Shad, Hillsboro, Ohio; Charline Fielden, Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Friday, September 9 at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home.  Rev, Michael Duncan, pastor of Eminence Baptist Church officiated.  Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 10 at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati. Ohio.
