Horace Hill

One of the saddest deaths it has been our duty to note fro a long time is that of Mr. Horace Hill, which occurred at his home near Smithfield on last Saturday morning, after a brief illness of necrosis of the bowels.  A specialist, from Louisville, assisted Dr. John Nuttall, performed an operation, but his life could not be saved.

Mr. Hill was well known throughout the county, and had many friends who will regret to learn of his untimely death.  He was a successful farmer and stock raiser, and stood high both in social and financial circles.  He leaves a wife, who was a Miss Lamaster, sister of our countyman, Z. H. Lamaster; six children, and two brothers, Elzie and clay hill.  We extend our sympathy to the relatives and friends.
