Albert Adams

Albert Coleman �Coley� Adams, 75, of Trimble County, Ky., died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at Norton�s Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

He was born July 5, 1926, in Henry County, Ky., the son of Warren T. and Clyde E. Adams. He was a farmer in Trimble County for 50 years, and was a retired employee of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Tobacco Grading Service. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division; and was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and Bedford Masonic Lodge No. 158. He was a Kentucky Colonel.

Surviving are his wife, Thelma L. Cook Adams; two daughters, Sue Quinn of New Albany and Brenda Fleishman of Louisville; five sisters, Nellena Adcock of Carrollton, Ky., Ruth Beaubier of Novato, Calif., Nancy Berry of Louisville, Helen Spurlock of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Mable Berry of Gas City; eight brothers, Kenneth Adams of Lexington, Ky., Samuel Adams of Elizabethtown, Ky., Warren �Dutch� Adams of Plant City, Fla., Merle D. Adams of Southpoint, Ohio, Bill Adams of Campbellsburg, Ky., Robert Adams of Ghent, Ky., Thomas Lee Adams of Eatonville, Wash., and James E. Adams of Upton, Ky.; two grandsons and three great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Omer M. Adams; and two infant brothers.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, with burial in the New Castle Cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
