Robert "Bob" Allen Obituary

Henry County Local--April 18, 1985

Mr. Robert “Bob” Allen, 57, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, April 9 in the Baptist East Hospital, Louisville, after a brief illness.

He was a native of Oldham County; a retired employee of the old Anita Springs Water Company in LaGrange; a member of the Booster Club in LaGrange; served for a short time on the
LaGrange Fire and Rescue Squad; attended the Kynett Methodist Church, LaGrange; and was an active member of the Mystified Twelve Club.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jean Rose Allen, LaGrange; three sons, Robert L. Allen, Jr., Louisville, Ronald E. Allen and Jerry D. Allen, both of LaGrange; two stepsons, Kent L.
Allen and Lynn Allen, both of LaGrange; four daughters, Connie M. Allen and Barbara Ann Allen, both of LaGrange; Tanga D. Allen (E4 U.S. Army), Colorado Springs, Colorado and Alfreda Beaumont, LaGrange; five brothers, Lloyd Allen, LaGrange, Joe Allen, New Castle, Raymond Allen, Louisville, Howard Allen and Ed Allen, both of LaGrange; one sister, Mrs. Cecil Hyman, Sacramento, California; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13 in the Radcliffe Funeral Home, LaGrange. Reverend Harold Henson, officiated.

Interment was in the Valley of Rest Cemetery, LaGrange.
