Beatrice Bohon Bailey, age 84, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, November 11, 2006. She was a member of the Eminence United Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by her husband: Clarence Bailey; one son: Bennie Bailey, Shelbyville; four daughters: Linda R. Reed, Frankfort, Mrs. Billy (Phyllis) Hedges, Pleasureville, Mrs. Bobby (Rachel) Hedges, Paris, Texas and Mary Beth Valley, Frankfort; one sister: Geneva Bohon, Shelbyville; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one great-grandson.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 13 at Shannon Funeral Home. Interment was in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.

Miss Dora Weldene Banta, 47 of Eminence, died Thursday, August 14, 1980, at her residence. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Nellie Banta, Eminence.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 16th at the Ricketts Funeral Home, Eminence. Rev. Eddie Phenix, pastor of the Eminence Christian Church, officiated. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Mrs. Clara Kelley Douthitt Blackaby, 64, died at her home in Pleasureville at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. She suffered a stroke of paralysis a few months ago and had been in ill health since.
She is survived by her husband: William Blackaby; three daughters: Mrs. Frank Ellis, Lexington, Mrs. Paul Stivers, Shelby County and Miss Opal Douthitt, Pleasureville; one stepdaughter: Mrs. I. T. Stone and one brother, James Kelley, Fallis.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, at the Pleasureville Methodist Church, of which he was a faithful member, with Rev. P. C. Long of New Castle, officiating and assisted by Rev. R. T. Wilson. Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
Mrs. Pearl Booth died January 8, 1976 in Galesburg, Illinois at the age of 90. She was the widow of the late J. G. Booth of Bethlehem, where she made her home until he died in 1971. She was a school teacher in the Illinois school system until her retirement in 1955.
She is survived by one sister: Mrs. Myrle German; one niece, Mrs. Mary Danielson of Galesburg; four step-sons: Fletcher Booth, Homasassa Springs, Florida, Charlie and Sam Booth, Louisville and John Booth, Shelbyville.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Galesburg. Funeral services were held at Galesburg on January 10th.

Anna Mae Heitzman Brown, 95, of Louisville, expired this life on Thursday, October 29, 2004, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She was born July 31, 1909, in Henry County, KY, the daughter of Thomas and Sallie Heitzman. On August 24, 1924, she married Roy Lee Brown, a marriage of 62 years and eight months until his death on April 29, 1987.
She was a faithful member of the Christian Assembly Church for 52 years. She was preceded in death by her husband: Roy Lee Brown, Sr., a son: Everett Gene Brown, a daughter: Littie Mae Margaret Brown and five grandchildren.
She leaves at her passing four sons: Roy Lee Brown, Jr., John Thomas Brown and his wife, Shirley, Jay Dee Brown and his wife, Linda and James William Brown, all of Louisville. She also leaves four daughters: Mary Louise Burgin, Crestwood, Dorine Elizabeth Prewitt, of Louisville, Sarah Elizabeth Gibson and her husband, Jerry, Leopold, IN, Marian Carol Miller, and her husband, Denny, Jeffersontown.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Christian Assembly Church, with Rev. Jack Ross officiating. Burial will be in the Beth Haven Cemetery on the church grounds.

Emma Elizabeth Bowen Brown, age 80 of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville after an illness. A native of Spencer County, she was the daughter of the late John and Elsie King Bowen. She was a homemaker and a member of the Elk Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters: Shirl Brown, Pleasureville and Helen Clark, Shelbyville; two sons: James P. Brown and Norman Brown, both of Shelbyville; one sister: Mattie B. Perry, Louisville; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip M. Brown, one son, Ronald O. Reed and two brothers.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 11 at Webb Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Rev. Theodore Todd officiated. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery, Shelbyville.

Roger W. Bryant, Jr., age 61, of Sulphur, formerly of LaGrange, died Thursday, October 11, 1990 at Jewish Hospital Louisville, following an illness. He was a native of Henry County, a graduate of LaGrange High School, a member of the DeHaven Baptist Church, LaGrange, a dairy farmer and a member of the Farm Credit Administration Advisory Board.
Survivors include his wife: the former Wanda Partin, two sons: Dr. Donald A. Bryant, State College, PA and Larry Bryant, Sulphur; his parents: Mr. and Mrs. Roger Bryant, Sr., LaGrange, two grandsons: Seth and Jordan Bryant, Sulphur.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 15 at Radcliffe Funeral Home, LaGrange with Rev. William E. Day, pastor of the DeHaven Memorial Baptist Church and Rev. A. L. Meacham, LaGrange, officiating. Entombment was held at the Louisville Memorial Gardens East Mausoleum.

Albert B. “Bill” Clark, age 50, of LaGrange, formerly of Orlando, Florida passed away unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon of injuries sustained when he was struck by a CSX train on the railroad right of way, .3 mile south of the crossing of Kentucky 146 in Henry County. He was a native of Oldham County, the son of the late Walter S. and Annie Payton Clark, attended Liberty School and was a member of the Covington Baptist Church in Oldham County. He was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include four sisters: Ola Mae Heitzman, Orlando, Florida, Margaret Stethen, Pendleton, Emma Stethen, Carrollton and Annie L. Frazier, LaGrange; three brothers: Joe S. Clark, LaGrange, John Clark, LaGrange and Jim Clark, LaGrange and aunts and uncles.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held at the Radcliffe Funeral Home, LaGrange, at 10 a.m. Friday, October 12 by the Rev, Ted Richardson, pastor of the Covington Baptist Church. Interment was in the Sulphur Cemetery.

Edward Clark, 57 of Harrodsburg, was killed at 3 a.m. Thursday, August 14 1980, in a truck accident. He was a driver for National By-Products Co.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Clark, Harrodsburg; four daughters: Rita Butler, Mrs. Frankie Huffman, Sue Powell and Linda Dunning, all of Harrodsburg; one son, Larry Clark, Lakeland, Florida; his mother: Mrs. Josephine Clark, LaGrange; two sisters: Ann Pearigen, South Bend, Indiana and Peggy Bush, Campbellsburg; four brothers: Joe Clark, Ballardsville, Ray Clark, Pewee Valley, Wald Clark, Smithfield and Harvey Clark, Jr., LaGrange and fifteen grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from Ransdell Funeral Home in Harrodsburg. Burial was in the Cornishville Cemetery.

Warren McDonald Cureton, 93,familiarly known in Henry County as “Uncle Mack”, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ida L. Hardin, New Castle at 11 a.m., Saturday. He had been ill a week. He was a native of Grayson County, but made his home in Henry County the past sixty years.
He is survived only by his daughter, Mrs. Hardin.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m., Monday, at the residence with Rev. J. T. Highfield officiating. Burial was in the New Castle Cemetery.

Beatrice Dixie, age 100 of Campbellsburg, died Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at her residence in Campbellsburg. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Annie Durrett and was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Campbellsburg for 82 years.
She is survived by her three children: Mrs. Lawrence (Theresa) Berry, Louisville, Mrs. William (Shirley) Dixie, Campbellsburg, and Faye Herndon, Shelbyville; seven grandchildren;thirteen great-grandchildren and three God daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dixie, Sr, two daughters: Emma L. Dixie and Juanita D. Sartin; two sons: Clarence L. Dixie and Robert Dixie, Jr., and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 11 at Ransdell Funeral Home in Campbellsburg. Rev. Earl Higgins, pastor of the Second Baptist Church, Campbellsburg, officiated. Interment was in the Eminence Cemetery.

Carrie L. Doll, age 87 of Campbellsburg, died Friday, November 10, 2006 at Homstead Nursing Center, New Castle. She was a member of the Carrollton Baptist Church and the daughter of the late Hugh and Lorie O’Neal Arvin.
She is survived by two brothers: Paul Arvin, Carrollton and Roger Arvin, Ghent; one granddaughter: Kris Malin, Turners Station; one grandson, Eric Doll, Campbellsburg; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Doll and one son, Phillip Doll.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 14 at Ransdell Funeral Home,
Campbellsburg. Brother Mitch officiated. Interment was in the Carrollton Cemetery.

Mrs. Frances Bailey Frazier, age 70, of Eminence, died Wednesday, October 10, 1990 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington after a long illness. She was a retired Principal Accountant for Social Security Disability, Frankfort, for ten yeas, a member of the Edith Foree Chapter #491, a native of Shelby County and a member of the Eminence United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husnband, Mr. Russell T. Frazier, Eminence; two sons: garland Russell Frazier, Eminence and Harold Leslie Frazier, Eminence; five sisters: Mrs. Garland (Willie Mae) Barbour, Braton, Florida, Mrs. Hershel (Josephine) Raymer, Eminence, Mrs. Jim (Lois) Parrott, Eminence, Mrs. John (Sara Catherine) Adams, Finchville and Mrs. Viola Poe, Eminence; two brothers: Leslie Bailey, Shelbyville and John Bailey, Finchville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 13, at the Prewitt Funeral Home, Eminence. It was officiated by Rev. Harold Dorsey and Dr. R. Walton Gardner, both of Lexington. Interment was in the Shady Lawn Cemetery, Shelby County.

Mrs. Nannie Sullivan Gordon, 88, widow of R. W. Gordon, Sr., died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, at her home on the Winchester Pike, Lexington. She was a daughter of the late Emily English and Michael Sullivan. She was a native of Clark County. She received her education in private schools and St. Catherine’s Academy and was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. T. B. Twyman, Tampa, Florida and Miss Virginia Gordon, Fayette County; one son: Richard Gordon, Jr. and a brother : George M. Sullivan, both of Fayette County.
Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery, Tuesday with Rev. Thomas B> Ennis officiating.

Warren Hall, 78, known extensively as “Uncle Peck”, died at his home in North Pleasureville, at 12:30 a.m., Saturday. He had carried the mail between North and South Pleasureville for sixty-three years, was born and lived all his life in the same house in which he died. His family could remember but twice in forty years that he ate a meal away from home.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Mollie Grigsby Hall; and one daughter: Mrs. Dallas Stivers, who lived with her parents.
Funeral services were conducted at the Pleasureville Christian Church at 3 p.m., Sunday with Rev. Glen n. Murdock, Louisville, officiating, assisted by Rev. E. P. Schaich. Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
Pfc. Luther Harlow, 34, husband of Mrs. Arie Kelley Harlow, and son of Mrs. Mary E. Harlow both of Defoe, was killed in action in Germany, March 30 or 31, according to a message from the War Department. The message stated that he was buried in an American cemetery in Southwest Germany on Saturday, March 31, thus ending activities of a true and brave soldier.
He was inducted into the U. S. Army on December 22, 1942. He received his first infantry training at Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indiana, and then was sent to Fort McClellan, Alabama, where he spent several months. He was then sent to Pennsylvania and then overseas, reaching North Africa in August, 1943.
He was awarded the Purple Heart in February, 1944, after being wounded in Africa. He joined Gen Clark’s Fifth Army and was in the battles of Salerno, Cassino and others in Italy, France and Germany.
Pfc. Harlow was married July 1, 1929 to Miss Arie Kelley. He is also survived by a son: Kelly Harlow, 15; his mother; two sisters, Mrs. Raymon Chisholm, Defoe and Mrs. Rudolph Wilhoite, Indianapolis; two half-sisters: Mrs. Maude Roberts, Indianapolis and Mrs. Nellie Cooke, Frankfort.

Evan K. Harrod, 71 of New Castle died suddenly on January 11, 1976 at his home. He was a lifetime farmer and a resident of New Castle since 1929. He served as deputy sheriff of Henry County from 1929 to 1933 and sheriff from 1933 to 1937. He practiced law in New Castle from 1940 to 1976 and was county attorney of Henry County from 1942 -1948. He was a member of the New Castle Methodist Church.
His survivors are his wife: Mrs. Katherine Agee Harrod, New Castle; one daughter: Mrs. Kenneth (Carolyn) Thompson, Eminence; one son: Evan W. (Pete) Harrod, New Castle; two grandchildren: Miss Virginia Lee Harrod and Evan Kavanaugh Harrod II, both of New Castle; two brothers: J. W. Harrod, Eminence and LeCompte Harrod, New Castle; one niece: Margaret Ann Harrod, Charleston, West Va. And one nephew: Elijah Jack Harrod, Charleston, West Va.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday from Prewitt’s. Rev. David Ross, pastor of the Danville Methodist Church, officiated and Rev. Fred Coburn, pastor of the New Castle United Methodist Church, assisted. Burial was in the New Castle Cemetery.

John S. Heady, a former mayor of Eminence and a Director of the Farmers Deposit Bank in Eminence for more than forty years, died Monday, December 2, 1985, at the Baptist East Hospital, Louisville, after a long illness. He was 80 years old.
He was a native of Ghent and was a partner in and manager of the Farmers Supply Co. in Eminence from 1936 to 1964. Mr. Heady was a former president of the Eminence Rotary Club and the Eminence Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his wife: Elizabeth Hardesty Heady; a daughter: Mary Ann Brent, Campbellsburg; a sister, Helen Williams, Carrollton; and a grandson: John Logan Brent, Campbellsburg.
The funeral was held last Thursday at Prewitt Funeral Home in New Castle and officiated by Rev. Michael Duncan, pastor of the Eminence Baptist Church. He was assisted by Rev. Roger Winsett, pastor of the Campbellsburg Baptist Church. Burial was in the Eminence Cemetery.

Mrs. Leona Tandy Heath, 69, died Monday at the Baptist Hospital in Louisville. She made her home with her nephew, Arthur McCarty, Campbellsburg.
Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, at the Christian Church in Bedford, with Rev. Jack Akin officiating. Burial was in the Bedford Cemetery.
She is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Nannie Morris, San Antonio, Texas and Mrs. Stella Head, Smithfield; and one brother: Jack Tandy, Smithfield.

Mrs. Eunice Mae Heaton, 84, of Louisville, died Thursday, March 28, 1985, at the Mt. Holly Nursing Home in Louisville. She was formerly of Henry County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Heaton.
She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Ruth Heinz, Louisville and Mrs. Ann Clauss, Bellaire, Maryland; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30th at the Miller Close Funeral Home. Dr. Eugene Enlow officiated. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Gilbert Heaton, 83, Louisville, formerly of Henry County, died February 18, 1981, at the Briarwood Nursing Home, Louisville.
He is survived by his wife: Eunice May Heaton; two daughters: Mrs. William (Ruth) Heinz, Louisville and Mrs. Damon (Anne) Clauss, Baltimore, Maryland; one sister: Mrs. Leah Heaton, Pleasureville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, at the Miller-Close Funeral Home, Louisville, with Dr. Eugene Enlow officiating.

Laurinda J. Heaton, age 67 yrs. 7 mos. 22 days, passed away. Mrs. Heaton nee Lindsey was born in Henry County, Ky. May 6, 1833. Married J. W. Heaton December 12, 1852. Born again in October 1852. Baptized into the fellowship of the United Baptist Church at Drennons Ridge October 21, 1852, with her husband. Died December 28,1900.

Lester Hedges, age 81, of Eminence, passed away at 6:50 a.m. Thursday, March 15,1973, at the Washington County Hospital, Chipley, Florida. Mr. Hedges was visiting a daughter in Florida when he became ill. He was a native of Shelby County, was a resident of Oldham County for more than 30 years and has lived in Eminence for the last three years. Mr. Hedges was a farmer.
He was a member of the Christ Temple Pentecostal Church, Eminence. His wife, the former Beulah Alice Jamison, passed away February 12, 1972. Mr. Hedges is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Pryor (Minnie) Jennings, Cropper and Mrs. Ike (Jenny) Bailey, Westville, Florida; four sons: Frank Hedges, LaGrange, George Hedges, Eminence, Lester A. Hedges, LaGrange and Luke B. Hedges, Louisville; forty grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were from Adkins Radcliff Funeral Home, LaGrange, and were conducted Monday, March 19, at the Christ Temple Pentecostal Church, Eminence, by the Rev. Chester Aldridge and the Rev. Edgar B. Tetrick. Interment was in the Louisville Gardens, East.

Frank A. Hehl, age 84, of Sligo, died Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at his residence. He was a member of the Sligo Baptist Church, a WWII Marine Corp Veteran, A Kentucky Colonel, and auto mechanic and co-owner of Sligo Sports.
He is survived by three daughters: Mrs. William J. (Linda) Morgan, Sligo, Donna Louise Hehl Freshwater, Miami, Florida and Emily Hehl, Frankfort; one brother: Robert B. Hehl, LaGrange; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Hehl and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26 at Sligo Baptist Church in Pendleton. Brother Earl Wayne Perry officiated. Interment was in the Sligo Cemetery with the American Legion Post #9 and the Marine Corp conducting a graveside service.

Gayle Heightchew, age 82 of Pleasureville, died Monday, February 13, 2006 at Homestead Nursing Center, New Castle. She was a farmer, a member of the Bethlehem, Methodist Church and the son of the late Obie and Lora Roberts Heightchew.
She is survived by one daughter: Mrs. David (Charlene) Mahoney, New Castle; three sons: Gary Heightchew, Frankfort, Brad and Steve Heightchew, both of Pleasureville; one sister: Roberta Clubb, Bethlehem; two brothers: Estle Heightchew, Bethlehem and Paul Dean Heightchew, Pleasureville; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Opal Dearinger Heightchew and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 17 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. J. T. Stinson of Eminence will officiate. Interment will be in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Mrs. Lora Heightchew, 87, of Bethlehem, died Sunday, March 3, 1985, at the King’s Daughters Hospital, Shelbyville.
She is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Roberta Clubb, Bethlehem; four sons: Delmer Heightchew, Shelbyville, Estle Heightchew, Bethlehem, Gayle Heightchew, Eminence and Paul Dean Heightchew, Pleasureville; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and three daughters-in-law.

Opal Evelyn Dearinger Heightchew, age 75, of Pleasureville, died Monday, September 20, 2004 at the University Hospital. She was retired from the Kentucky Cabinet of Human Resources, DSI, a member of the Kentucky Historical Society, a homemaker, a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church and the daughter of the late Elmer and Florida Mable Grigsby Dearinger.
She is survived by her husband: Gayle Heightchew, Pleasureville; one daughter: Mrs. David (Charlene) Mahoney, New Castle; three sons: Gary Heightchew, Frankfort, Brad and Steve Heightchew, both of Pleasureville; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 23 at 1 p.m. at Sholar Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Austin officiated, assisted by J. T. Stinson. Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Barbara Powell Heilman, 43, was murdered in northern Henry County on October 12, 1983. She was found dead with multiple stab wounds in a field about eight miles south of Bedford. State police said she had been kidnapped from the family dairy farm on Highway 55 north of Campbellsburg. Parramore L. Sanborn was arrested, charged, indicted, tried, convicted and is serving a prison sentence.

Marion Heilman, 62 of LaGrange died at his residence at 7 p.m. Monday, January 30, 1978. Mr. Heilman had been in failing health for the last four years. He was a retired auto mechanic from the Ford Garage, LaGrange. He was a native of Shelby County, the son of the late Leonard and Sara Mitchell Heilman. He was a member and deacon of the DeHaven Memorial Baptist Church, LaGrange.
Survivors are his wife: the former Marjorie Bryant; two daughters: Mrs. Wade G.(Bonnie) Campbell, Jr., Crestwood and J. Olon (Louise) Johnson, III, LaGrange; one son: Jerry Heilman, LaGrange; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and one brother: Carl W. Heilman, Pleasureville.

Mrs. Nellie S. Heilman, 81, of Turners Station, died Friday, February 15, 1985, at the Homestead Nursing Center, New Castle, after an extended illness. She was formerly of Oldham County, a native of Henry County and a member of the Port Royal Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Mr. Earl B. Heilman, Turners Station; one daughter: Mrs. Nancy Ruth, Louisville; three sons: Roland B. Heilman, Salisbury, Maryland, Dr. E. Bruce Heilman, Richmond, VA and Robert H. Heilman, Baltimore, Maryland; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 18 in the Radcliffe Funeral Home, LaGrange. Rev. Gary Rucker, pastor of the Port Royal Baptist Church, and Rev. A. L. Meacham, officiated. Interment was in the Valley of Rest Cemetery, LaGrange.

Paul T. Heilman, 76 of Frankfort, died Wednesday, April 1, 1981, at the Woodford Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. He was a native of Henry County, a retired employee of the State Department of Agriculture with 20 years service, a member of the Pleasureville I.O.O.F., and a member of the Pleasureville Christian Church.
He is survived by a his wife: Mrs. Evelyn Banta Heilman, Frankfort; one son: Robert Osman Heilman, Columbia, South, Carolina; three daughters: Mrs. Mildred Marshall and Mrs. Betty Brown, both of Frankfort and Mrs. Evelyn Harris, Hendersonville, North Carolina; six grandchildren ; three step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was the son of the late Minnie Wells Heilman and Osman Heilman.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4th at the Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel, Frankfort. Rev. Herman Bowers officiated. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Mrs. Sue Heilman, age 91, of Eminence, died Thursday, August 4, 1994 at Jewish Hospital, Shelbyville. She was a native of Casey County, a retired school teachers and a member of the Eminence Christian Church.
She is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 7th, at 3:30 p.m. at Prewitt Funeral Home, Eminence, with Rev. Tom Baker, minister of youth at the First Church of Christ in Florence, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Tom Page, pastor of the Eminence Christian Church and Edward M. Berry, pastor of the Henry Christian Church. Burial was in the Eminence Cemetery.

Miss Heinz is survived by two great nieces, Mrs. Sally Floyd Ridley, Villa Hills and Mrs. Susan Floyd Wilmes, Lexington. Mrs. Ridley and Mrs. Wilmes are the daughters of Mr. William Floyd and the late Sara Lee Floyd.

The funeral for B. W. Henderson, who passed away on Monday, May 9, 1983, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital, Shelbyville, was held at 1 p.m., last Saturday, at the Clay Street Baptist Church. The Rev. Charles Davis officiated.
Henderson was a member of the Centennial Baptist Church, Christiansburg, a retired farmer and a bus driver for the Shelby County Schools for 18 years. He was a native of Henry County.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel; one brother: Sam, Shelbyville; four sisters: Hallie Miller, Shelbyville, Amanda McReynolds and Mary Mumphrey, both of Louiville and Viola Thomas, Jeffersontown.
Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery, Shelbyville.

She was a native of Shelby County, the daughter of the late William C. and Rose Anna Erwin Henderson, a bus monitor for the Henry County Schools and a member of the Henry Christian Church.
She is survived by two daughters: Angela Hill, Louisville and Shawnya Tarter, Pendleton; two sisters: Jeannie Waits, Smithfield and Debra Ann Henderson, Pleasureville; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 18, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville. The rev. Ed Berry and the Rev. Nick Coleman, Henry Christian Church, officiated. Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

He is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Donald (Betty) McGaughey, Frankfort; one sister: Mrs. Forest (Gladys) Jones, Route 1, Campbellsburg and one grandson: Gregory McGaughey, Frankfort.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Robert (Michele) Mann Langley; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lafe Henson, 57 of Smithfield, died Saturday, October 29, 1983 at the Humana Hospital, Suburban in Louisville, after an illness. Mrs. Henson was the former Mattie L. Cunningham and a native of Louisville. She retired in 1982 after working at the Central State Hospital, Anchorage, as a Psychiatric Aid. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, LaGrange.
She is survived by her husband: William E. “Lafe” Henson, Smithfield; four sisters: Mrs. Stella Cravens, Louisville, Mrs. Alice Hunt, LaGrange, Mrs. Virginia Swartz, Prospect and Mrs. Frances Davis, LaGrange; three brothers: John Phillips, Leonard Phillips and Joseph Phillips, all of Louisville.

Mr. William P. Henson, age 87, of Route 1, Smithfield, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 1973, at the Pewee Valley Hospital, Pewee Valley. Mr. Henson was a farmer in the Smithfield Community for more than fifty years. He was a native of Harrison County, the son of the late Henry L. and Louisa Tusker Henson. Mr. Henson was also a member of the Smithfield Baptist Church.

Horace T. Herndon, 90, of Clarksville, Tennessee, died Sunday, April 21, 1985 at Clarksville Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was born in Owenton, and had been a partner of the late Clifford Walters, D. T. Long and Ray P. Weller at the New Star Tobacco Warehouse in Shelbyville and served as an auctioneer.
He was a partner with the late Ray P. Weller in the founding of the Shelby County Locker Company which was located at Third and Main Streets in Shelbyville. He was also a partner in the farm machinery distributorship of Gehl Farm Equipment with Mr. Weller.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Owenton, the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Ferguson Herndon, Clarksville.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 23rd. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville.

Raymond Lewis Herndon, Jr., 40, of Eminence, died Wednesday from injuries received in a two car accident, two miles east of Eminence on Herndon Lane. Herndon, a native of Shelby County and formerly of Oldham County, was an Army Veteran and a member of the Highland Baptist Church in Shelbyville.
He is survived by two daughters: Lisa Webster and Linda Ray Herndon, both of Centerfield; one son: Raymond Lewis Herndon III, Kentuck, West Virginia; his mother: Mrs. Lillian Jividen Hopkins, Eminence; four sisters: Mrs. William (Waunetta) McCauley, Cross Plains, Indiana, Mrs. Bobby (Martha) Tipton, Mrs. Irene Morgan and Mrs. William (Lorene) Tipton, all of Eminence and one brother: Jerry Wayne Herndon, Lebanon, Tennessee.
Funeral services were held Saturday from Prewitt’s Funeral Home, New Castle. Rev. Larry Wetherington, pastor of the Smithfield Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.

Bobby R. Herrin, age 72, of Turners Station, died Friday, October 22, 2004. He was a member of the Disciples of Christ Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, a twenty year Air Force Veteran and the son of the late Prentiss Earl Herrin and Ida Coulter Herrin.
He is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Jerry (Debbie) Lockhart, Independence, MO, Mrs. David (Sharon) Kershaw, Lexington, Mrs. Chris (Sandra) Chilton, Turners Station and
Ronald (Karen) Mathis, Moselle, Mississippi; one son: Joseph Herrin, White House, Tennessee; one sister: Betty Hartzog, Sumrall, Mississippi; one brother: Earl Herrin, Petal, Mississippi; nineteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Turner Herrin and one son, Michael Herrin.
Funeral services were held in Sumrall, Mississippi. Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

John R. Hicks, 26, of Pendleton, was fatally injured Wednesday morning, May 22, 1985 in a one car traffic accident on Interstate 71 in Jefferson County near the Oldham County line. A native of Oldham County, he was an insulation installer for the Povey Insulation Company. He was a graduate of Henry County High School and a graduate of RETS Institute, Louisville. He attended Kingdom Hall, Jehovah Witness, LaGrange.
He is survived by his parents: Mr. and Mrs. Emart B. Hicks, Sulphur; three sisters: Mrs. Sharon Hicks Taylor, Sulphur, Mrs. Janet McAlister, Eminence and Miss Michelle Lynn Hicks, Sulphur and one niece: Heather McAlister, Eminence.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25th at the Radcliffe Funeral Home, LaGrange with Brother Marvin Hardin, Kingdom Hall, Jehovah Witness, LaGrange, officiating. Interment was in the Valley of Rest Cemetery, LaGrange.
