Mar 1875 in Muhlenberg Co., KY





Apr. 29, 1848, he bought 400 acres of land on the waters of Richland Creek 

in Hopkins County from his uncle Samuel DeMoss, of Campbell Co., KY. He 

paid only $50. On Aug. 1, 1853, George and wife Elizabeth, sold this 400 

acres to Jesse Howel for $280.  Other land records show that George bought 

70 acres for $250 on Pond River in Hopkins County on Dec. 25, 1857.  1875 

he was listed as a member of Slaughters Masonic Lodge #347 Webster Co., KY. 

He preached in Christian County, KY
