son of John L. Wicks and Nancy Cook.



This family moved after 1860, to Jefferson Co.,ILLinois, where William

died 30 July 1878, Elk Prairie, ILLinois, and buried there in the Old Baptist Cemetery.



William's wife was Louisiana Groves, and I do not know why the name Narcissa is in this spot.

Joseph W. born 1843 Hopkins Co.,KY m. 4 July 1867 Franklin Co., ILL, Mary A. Little.



Narcissa born 1844 Hopkins Co., KY m. 3 Aug 1860, Montgomery Co.,TN.,William P. Hampton.



John L. born April 1847, m. 19 Dec 1875, Jefferson Co.,ILL, Mary Henley.

John died 1924, Jefferson Co.,ILL.



The child listed as Mary, is not in the 1860 census, so she must have died.



Before moving to ILL William and Louisiana also had :

     William David Wicks born 1 Feb.1854 m. in ILL to Nancy M. Oliver

	 Susan A. Wicks, born Sep.1854 m. in ILL to John Isom

	 James A./H. Wicks born 1857, and Mary Catherine born 1860.
