 William Harris Rev. War pension filed 1832 Culpepper Co., Va.  He enlisted for the term of 1 yr from Feb 1777, discharged Feb 1778 -- was at Valley Forge.  Served under Capt. Samuel Blackwell, commanded by Col. Grayson.  In his 1832 claim, he was 82 yrs old living in Culpepper Co., Va.   In 1832, he gave an account of his possessions which consisted of slaves and made the statement "I have no family but had use of the house of one of my children, who is ____ and poor."

Col. Wm. Grayson, who was commissioned in January 1777 as Colonel of one of the 16 additional regiments and noted to be of Culpepper Co., Virginia Rev. War.  In 1826, Col Grayson was living with one of his sons, Robt. Grayson in Jefferson County, KY.
