Virginia Service Pension # S 354440

The above named soldier applied for a pension in Jefferson County, Kentucky 13 Jul 1818 before a Justice in said county and made declaration that his age is 62 that he is a resident in said county and state, that he enlisted in Virginia in the company commanded by Captain John Gillison of the 10th Virginia Regiment and continued to serve in said corps till the fall of 1779 when he was discharged from service in Morristown, New Jersey.  He further stated that he is in the Battles of Brandywine, Germantown, and Stony Point.  This affidavit was made before Alfred Metcalf, circuit judge, in said county and state, and certified by Waden Pope, clerk of said county and state.

William Hutson made application for pension again at the same place 12 Jul 1820, and made a schedule of his property.  William Hutson of Jefferson County, who was a private in the company commanded by Colonel Gillison in the 10th Virginia Regiment, for 3 years, was inscribed on the Pension Roll of Kentucky Agency to commence on 13 Jul 1818.  Certificate of Pension was issued on 10 Feb 1819 and sent to the Honorable R. C. Anderson, House of Representatives.
