On October ? of the year 1832 in Jefferson County in the state of Kentucky, the said pensioner at the age of 70 years appeared in open court and stated that he had been born in Essex County in the state of Virginia on July 30 of the year 1762 and he stated that he had then removed to Chesterfield county in the state of Virginia.  He also said that he removed to Bullitt County in the state of Kentucky in the year 1787 and he said that six years ago he had removed to Jefferson County in the state of Kentucky.

The said pensioner stated that in the month of August of the year 1788 he had volunteered to serve in the company under the command of Captain Creed Haskins to serve in the capacity of a private soldier for a tour of six weeks duration and they then marched to Williamsburg and then from there they marched to Surry County Court House in the regiment under the command of Colonel Francis Goods.  He stated that he had also volunteered in the year 1779 to serve in the company under the command of Captain Ezekiel Dance and they then marched to Surry County and from there to Warwick County on the Warwick River in the regiment under the command of Colonel Robert Goode to serve in the capacity of a private for a tour of two months duration.

The said pensioner also stated and swore that he had joined the light infantry in the year 1780 in Chesterfield County to serve in the regiment under the command of Colonel Dick and in the company under the command of Captain Nicholas and they then crossed the James River and from there they then marched to Mossin Hills and them to Shirly Hundred Ferry for two and one half or three weeks.  Then in the month of August of the year 1780, the said pensioner was drafted to serve in the capacity of a private soldier in the company under the command of Captain George Markham and they then marched to Petersburg and they then marched to Surry Court House and they cross the James River at Swans Point and they marched to Williamsburg and then in the brigade under the command of General Lawson.  They marched to Little York in the Second Virginia Regiment.

The affidavit of William Chappell was also given at the time and in the same place as the foregoing.  The said deponent stated and swore that he had been both well and favorably acquainted with the said pensioner at Chesterfield County in the state of Virginia at a time fifty one years ago and he also swore that the said pensioner had served in the War of the Revolution as he had stated.

The affidavit of Jesse Chappell was also give at the same time and in the same place as the foregoing.  The said deponent stated and swore that he had been both well and favorably acquainted with the said pensioner at Chesterfield County in the state of Virginia and this deponent also swore that the said pensioner had served as he stated.

On May 27 of the year 1833 in Jefferson County in the state of Kentucky, the said pensioner again appeared in open court and stated that in the moth of August of the year 1778 he had served for a tour of six weeks duration in the company under the command of Captain Creed Haskins and also under the command of Lieutenant William Good.  He also said that he had served for a tour of seven weeks in the company under the command of Captain Ezekiel Dance in the year 1779 and that in the year 1780 he had served in the light infantry under the command of Lieutenant Dailey, Major Boyn and Major Hofler and Sergeant Humble Cole.

On February 8 of he year 1844 in Madison County in the state of Illinois, the said pensioner again appeared in open court and stated that he had lately removed tot he above place, namely, Madison County in the state of Illinois and he asked that his pension be payable there in the future.  He state that he had removed as above stated in order to reside with his son Robert C. Pilkinton at Edwardsville in Madison County, Illinois.

The affidavit of Robert C. Pilkinton was also given at the same time and in the same place as the foregoing.  The said deponent stated and swore that the said pensioner, Larkin Pilkinton, was the identical person that he claimed himself to be.

The said pensioner himself, Larkin Pilkinton, was on the Kentucky Roll of Pensions at the rate of $40.00 per annum and his certificate of pension for that amount was issued on August 21 of the year1833 and it was then sent to J. S. Dana at Frankfort in the state of Kentucky.
