Phillip Weinnand applied for a pension in Jefferson County, Kentucky on May 6, 1833 and stated that he is 79 years of age.  He enlisted in the regiment commanded by Colonel Schrock of Hagerstown, Maryland, under captain Runnell or Rundell and Lieutenant Orendoff.  He entered sometime in the summer of 1776 and marched to Philadelphia and after having remained there for eight or ten days in Philadelphia, he marched to New York and remained in the city a few days and left the city and went up the river and reached the White Plains and joined the army of General Washington and had a fight with the British near the White Plains.  He then marched down to Fort Lee and was at Fort Lee when the British took Fort Washington.  Afterwards, he returned home after having been out for eight months.

In Jefferson County, Kentucky on May 6, 1833, Michael Miller, clergyman, resident of Jefferson County and James Pomeroy, resident of the same place made certification of being well acquainted with Phillip Weinnand and to their belief in his statements.  These statements were made before Warden Pope, Clerk.

In answers to questions given by the court to the applicant, he made answers that he was born in Reading, Pennsylvania on March 10, 1754.  Since the Revolution he has lived in Little York, Pennsylvania.  He joined the service at Hagerstown, Maryland and has lived near Little York.  He moved to Jefferson County, Kentucky about thirty six years ago where he has lived ever since.

Phillip Weinnand of Jefferson County, Kentucky who was a private in the company commanded by Captain Rundell of the regiment commanded by Colonel Schirock of the Maryland Militia for eight months, from 1776, was inscribed on the pension list of the Kentucky Agency to commence on March 4, 1831.  Certificate of he pension was issued on May 30, 1833, and sent to James Pomeroy, in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
