DR. OLIVER L. TOWNSEND is a son of W. H. and Nancy (Brundy) Townsend,
natives of Jefferson County, Ky.  His grandfather, John Townsend, a native
of Virginia, settled in Jefferson County, Ky., and died there.  William H.
the eldest son, was born in Jefferson County, resides at present at
Fishersville [sic], Ky., in 1860, received his early education at Cedar
Hill College of Jefferson County, and in 1879 commenced the study of
medicine under Dr. W. P. Taylor, of Fishersville [sic], graduating at the
Hospital Medical College of Louisville, Ky.  He located in 1881 at Orr
(Camdenville), Anderson County, and has been in active practice there for
six years.  He married, May 24, 1883, Miss Susan Brown, of Orr.  The
Doctor is a Master Mason, and a member of Central Lodge, No. 612, of Orr.
