THOMAS RENFRO, sixth child of Joseph and Sarah (Ralston) Renfro, was born November 21, 1829, in Barren County, Ky. Joseph was a son of John and Esther (Peak) Renfro, who were married in 1781 and reared a family of six sons. John died in April, 1846, and his widow in May, 1851. Thomas Renfro was reared on a farm; at twenty-one he commenced life for himself, and has since followed agricultural pursuits. September 25, 1851, he married Ann P. Davasher, of Barren County, who bore him one child, William (deceased). Mrs. Renfro was a daughter of Alexander and Catherine (Lewis) Davasher, and died in August, 1868, a member of the Baptist Church. Mr. Renfro's second marriage took place November 4, 1869, with Sarah E. Morehead, of Allen County, Ky., and to their union six children wre born: Edmond L., Thomas B., George M., Bertha, Letha and Eula. Mrs. Renfro is a daughter of Edmond and Matilda E. (Fishback) Morehead, who were born and reared in Allen County, Ky. Edmond Morehead was a farmer and died in 1864, aged forty-seven years; he was a son of John and Basheba (Stark) Morehead, both of Virginia, and of English origin. After his first marriage Mr. Renfro located near Barren River; in 1870 he located on 107 acres where he now resides near Glasgow Junction, and now owns 120 acres, highly cultivated and improved with fine cottage, out-buildings; orchard, etc. In politics he is a Democrat but cast his first vote for Gen.
