HOWE, Wife of Hammond Howe, resided in Newport, Ky., for many years; between 1839 and 1849, contributed numerous poems to the Ladies' Repository and other Cincinnati magazines and newspapers; in 1847, published in pamphlet form a dramatic poem founded on incidents in the history of Poland, "Boleslas II," or the Siege of Kiow."
