DR. H. F. TAYLOR has a good likeness in the accompanying engraving.  For 
eleven years he has been practicing his profession in Mintonville, his
county.  He graduated from the Kentucky School of Medicine, Louisville, 
June 21, 1893.  He then began the practice of his profession--one of the 
noblest on earth, that of ameliorating the condition of suffering 
humanity--at Glenn Mary, Tenn., for the Glenn Mary Coal Co., where he 
remained two years.  Then he took the "Western fever" and emigrated to 
Oklahoma, where he practiced two years and later in Texas one year.  He 
then came back to Mintonville and seems to have become a fixture there. 
 Dr. Taylor was born in Pulaski County, Nov. 7, 1870, but moved with his 
parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Taylor to Casey when a little boy.  He was 
educated in the common schools and married Miss Selecta Tarter, October 
31, 1897.  They have four children--Roscoe C., 8; Archie Franklin, 6; 
Myrtle, 3, and Chester, 10 months old.  Dr. Taylor and wife are members 
of the Methodist church.  He is a Mason, Odd Fellow, Maccabee and Knight 
of Pythias and in his daily walk and conversation helps to disseminate 
the immortal principles of those orders.  He is a cousin to Mitchell 
Taylor, Kentucky's Stave King.  Dr. Taylor takes a great deal of 
interest in politics and exercises great influence along that line, his 
friends tell me.  He is also a stock trader and had [words missing] 
scale.  Dr. Taylor is one of Casey county's best and most popular 
citizens.
