He came to America in 1851, landing in New York. He went to Cincinnati, and worked in a brush manufactory nine months. From there he came to Louisville, Ky., and worked in a pork-house three and a half years. He then, in 1855, came to Daviess County, and now has a nice home a mile west of Owensboro. He was married in Ireland, in 1850, to Catharine Ryne, a native of that country, born in 1827. They have two children--Katie, born in August, 1855, in Louisville, and Annie, born in 1860 in Owensboro. The family are members of the Catholic church. Mr. Ferrell votes the Democratic ticket.
