CHARLES SHULTZ was born in Germany in May, 1830.  He cam to America in 
1851.  He remained in New York a while, then went to Philadelphia, and 
from there to Cincinnati.  In 1853 he came to Daviess County, Ky.  He is 
by trade a tailor, but for the past twenty-five years has been engaged 
in farming.  He owns twenty acres of good, well-improved land.  He was 
married in 1859 to Rosa Goatz, a native of Germany, born Nov. 20, 1840. 
They have three children--Mary, born Oct. 23, 1860; Charles, born May 
8, 1865; Frank, born May 3, 1871.  Mr. and Mrs. Shultz are members of 
the Lutheran church Owensboro.
