JOSEPH PARRENT, a native of Franklin County, Ky., was born April 21,
1818, and is the youngest of seven sons born to John and Elizabeth 
(Tracy) Parrent, natives of Virginia.  Our subject was reared on the 
farm, educated in the common schools, and has been a farmer all his 
life.  He married Elizabeth Yates, a native of Shelby County, who has 
borne to him three children: Richard H., Zachary T. and Susan M.  Mr. 
Parrent owns 132 acres of good land, and is a member of the South 
Benson Baptist Church.
