ADAM CONRAD was born in Grant County, Ky., July 27, 1857, the youngest of a family of eight children born to Jacob and Eliza (Renneckar) Conrad. Jacob S. Conrad was born in Grant County, Ky., was a prominent and successful farmer and stock raiser, and died June 19, 1877, a strict member of the Baptist Church. He was a son of William and Elizabeth (Boyers) Conrad. William Conrad was born in Harrison County, Ky. He was a tanner by trade, a Baptist preacher by profession, and was always engaged in agricultural pursuits. He was a son of Isaac Conrad. Mrs. Eliza Conrad a was native of Harrison County, Ky., a daughter of Capt. John and Kate (Leminger) Renneckar. John Renneckar was a captain in the war of 1812. Adam Conrad was reared on a farm, and received a common-school education. He has always been a farmer and stock raiser. He was married February 3, 1880, to Miss Letha Renneckar, of Grant County, a daughter of Paul J. and Mary (Hutchison) Renneckar. Two bright and intelligent children have blessed this union: Mary Eliza and Frank Irvin. Mr. Conrad owns 104 acres of fine land near Dry Ridge. Politically he is a Democrat. Letha Conrad was born August 29, 1862, the eldest daughter of a family of ten children born to Paul J. and Mary (Hutchison) Renneckar. Paul J. Renneckar was born May 4, 1834, and was a son of Paul and Katie (Boyers) Renneckar. Paul Renneckar was born November 22, 1805. Katie Renneckar was born May 26, 1801. Mary Renneckar was born Jun 26, 1840, and was the daughter of Edward and Rebecca (Lemmon) Hutchison. Mary Elizabeth Conrad was born July 31, 1881. Frank Irvin Conrad was born July 31, 1885.
