HEARN, better known as plain "Ed" was born in Grant County, near Jonesville, March 2, 1854, and was married April 5, 1878, to Miss Nannie Poe, and to this union four children have been born, all girls. Mr. Hearn is one of a family of seven born to James and Mary Hearn. He located in Williamstown in 1894, and plied his trade, that of carpenter. His excellent work soon built up an enormous business for him, and he branched out as a contracting carpenter. Today he has all the work he can do and regularly employs from three to four men. The Catholic Church, a beautiful edifice, the opera house and a large number of fine residences throughout the country are specimens of his ability as an architect. He also runs in connection with his carpentering establishment a complete roofing and tinner's plant, and is prepared at all times to fill orders for tin and iron roofing, guttering, spouting or any work in this line at reasonable prices, insuring satisfaction in all instances. His place of business is located on Main Street, opposite the Williamstown Opera House. Estimates on any kind of work cheerfully furnished.
