Lemon and Georgiana (Lowe) Lemon, and was born near Williamstown, in Grant county, on August 9, 1870. He attended the common and high schools in Williamstown and secured a first-class education. By the time he was grown he was a Deputy County Court Clerk and Deputy Circuit Court Clerk, and a very little later Deputy Sheriff and book keeper in the Grant County Deposit Bank. The last position he held five years and a half under C. C. Nesbitt, who was then the cashier; at the close of which time he was elected assistant cashier under J. R. Lemon and served in that capacity for two years. He is an expert book keeper and gave satisfaction to his employers. He is now Deputy County Court Clerk and oil inspector for Grant County. A Democrat in politics and a worker for his party's interest. October 19, 1899, he was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Ranson, daughter of the late William Ransom.
