LOUIS T. HEMPHILL was born seven miles east of Nicholasville, Jessamine
Co., Ky., September 6, 1834, and is the third son of Andrew and Mildred
(Tapp) Hemphill.  (See sketch of Charles Hemphill.)  Louis T. Hemphill was
married, June 5, 1867, to Eliza V. Price, daughter of Daniel B. and Mary J.
(Stuart) Price, of Jessamine County.  To this union have been born six
children, viz.: Daniel P., Mary V., Henry and Ada, living, and Louise and
Ann B., deceased.  Mr. Hemphill is the owner of 170 acres of good land in
Sulphur Well District.
