HANNAH SCOTT, of Garrard County, Ky., daughter of Hugh and Catherine (Jackson) Logan, was married to Thomas B. Scott November 22, 1857. He was the second son of Robert and Mary (Sappington) Scott; he was born in Jessamine County in June, 1816, was a farmer and died in this county February 20, 1871, a member of the Methodist Church. Hugh Logan was born in Rockbridge County, Va., immigrated to Kentucky when quite a boy, and settled in Lincoln County; moved to Garrard County and died in his ninety-second year. Mrs. Scott and all the children except Thomas B. are members of the Christian Church. Five children have blessed this union, four living, viz.: Thomas B., Hugh L., Fannie (married to Dr. W. H. Matthews) and Mary S. Mrs. Scott owns 800 acres of land in Lee District, six miles south of Nicholasville, on the Danville and Lexington Turnpike. Mr. Scott, her husband, was a Master Mason.
