Dr. Arnold
   My grandfather, Lorenzo Dow Arnold, was born in Wythe County, Virginia,
on September 10, 1821.  He went to Scott County, Virginia, thence to Lee
County, Kentucky, in 1857.  He settled a mile east of St. Helens at the
"Old Post Office," or Bilbey Place.  Here was the only post office between
Irvine and Hazard at that time.  The next post office on that line was at
John Duff's at the mouth of Grapevine. In the cemetery at Beattyville is
the grave of Hannah McGuire, age 117.  See her epitaph.
