KILLIS COPPAGE was born on the 22d of May, 1850; he grew to manhood on his father's farm, receiving a good common-school training in early life. He was married on the 21st of November, 1872, to Amanda Coppage; to them has been born one son, Oscar (January 9, 1876). He following farming for some time, but later engaged in the lumber trade. His mills are situated on the waters of South Rolling Fork River, in the southwestern section of his native county of Marion, and he makes a success of his business. Politically he is a Democrat and holds the office of postmaster at Rush Branch, and is also agent for the L.E. & St. L. Railway Company. He and wife are members of the Christian Church.
