DR. ROBERT C. CALDWELL was born July 22, 1851.  (For full account of
ancestors see sketch of William L. Caldwell.)  In 1873 he graduated at
Center College, Danville, then entered the medical university of
Louisville, Ky., and graduated at the Louisville University of Medicine,
at New Orleans, in 1876.  For several years Dr. Caldwell has been located
at Bloomfield, Nelson County, where he is now enjoying a successful and
lucrative practice of his chosen profession.  On June 18, 1879, subject
was united in marriage with Miss Maggie, daughter of John and Emma (Ray)
Bowman, of Bardstown, Ky., born January 13, 1857, and to them have been
born William Logan, James Bowman, Robert Crumbaugh (deceased), and
George Robertson.  Dr. Caldwell is a Royal Arch Mason, and a member of
the Old School Presbyterian Church, and in politics a Democrat.
