WILLIAM TROUT is a native of Trimble County, and was born June 30, 1822, the seventh of eleven children born to Jeremiah and Margaret (Overpeck) Trout. His father was born in Shenandoah County, Va., March 19, 1787, moved to Kentucky in 1811, and settled near Milton, Trimble County; was a farmer and stock grower, and died February 25, 1870. Our subject's mother was born March 9, 1788, and died July 3, 1849. Our subject was reared on the farm, and received a common school education. He is engaged in farming and raising fine stock, and is the owner of a well improved farm of 181 acres near Milton. He was united in marriage November 19, 1846, with Miss Hannah Mayfield, daughter of Burdett and Pollie (Colman) Mayfield. One child was born to this union, Martha Alice, born October 12, 1856. Mr. Trout and family are members of the Christian Church and have been for many years. Mr. Trout was always a Democrat.
