     Alexander McIntyre was captured and killed by the Indians in one of
Kenton's Expeditions.  He was of Scotch-Irish descent, and came to America
when about nineteen years old. He married Mary Goddard, of English
extraction.  They had six children - four sons and two daughters - John,
Lydia, William, Isabella, Benjamin, and Alexander.
