Poplar Grove Cemetery is located on Chelf Ridge on Kentucky Highway 1552 about 5 miles north of Liberty and 2 miles off U.S. 127 at Stapp's Lane.  It has a beautiful setting and was established in 1886 on land given by Mr. 
George Cochran.  Some years later Mr. August Steinhauer gave additional land.  The cemetery adjoins the Poplar Grove Baptist Church.  It has a chain link fence.  Many graves are marked with fieldstones and no names or dates.
