Barren County KyArchives Obituaries

 Undated Glasgow KY newspaper.
"Funeral services for Mr. Robert Beck, 76, retired farmer and well known Barren county citizen, will be 
conducted at the Glasgow Methodist church this afternoon at one-thirty. Burial will follow in the 
Hiseville cemetery.

"Mr. Beck died at his home just off Columbia Ave., Monday night. He had been in declining health some 
time. He was a devout member of the Methodist church.

"A native of Germany, Mr. Beck came to this country when 19 years of age, and lived in Saint Louis, Mo., 
for some time before moving to Barren county where he resided the past fifty years. He spent most of 
his life on a farm located on the Jimtown road and moved to Glasgow a few years ago.

"When a young man he was married to Miss Katie Arterburn, who survives. Mr. 
Beck is also survived by several relatives now residing in Germany."
