My mother always said that Pleasant Gentry came from Crab Orchard, Ky.  I do not know 
his birth or death date but I do have a marriage date of 1821 in Indiana.  I just found 
on google the book on the "History of the Gentry,s in the U.S"circa 1900.  It has a lot 
about the Gentry's in Crab Orchard.   It list a Pleasant Gentry being the son of Benajah, 
son of Moses, son of Nicholas.  However this Pleasant is born in 1813.  So he could not 
have been the same one.  But it is interesting that someone in the family had this same 
unusual name.  So I assume my Pleasant left Crab Orchard for Ind. and never came back.  
The question is who was his father and mother and are they buried in Crab Orchard.  I 
assume my Pleasant would have been born about 1800.  
 
Any ideas?
